Marvin Loeb Rally Collection Watches
Marvin watches has released two new versions of their Sebastian Loeb collaboration watches with these two new pieces, one being a limited edition. Not just mere color changes, these have different, more refined dials and a great sporty look. These are the best looking Marvin Loeb Rally Collection watches yet in my opinion. I wrote about the original Marvin Loeb collection here.Using the top-level models with the Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic movements, these are offered as two sets of watches with either a red trim or yellow trip. The red trimmed model will be a limited edition of just 88 pieces. As is the case with all Marvin watches, the 8 o'clock out indicator is specially indicated. Loeb's signature is applied on the dial under the day/date window for those who need some rally driver reassurances on a regular basis. The watches each come in 44mm wide PVD black steel cases. The Loeb case shape remains the same with its neat chronograph pushers and spring mounted moving lug structu
First Watch Post
Being 25 and into watches does not always go together. Watches are inherently very expensive, and the cost of admittance into the hobby can be overwhelming. It is a hobby and passion of appreciation and style. You have to appreciate the beautiful, recognize the handsome, and critique the flawed. Few of us are hands on in anyway. Meaning we do not fix or modify watches, not do we really understand the inner workings for the most part.Being "into watches" is really about being able to appreciate and recognize achievements in utility and design. As I will try to illustrate over time, making a nice watch is very hard to do. Many of the watches I criticized for a long time, I have recently come to appreciate for their classic looks and on going charm. Further, some things which appear nice at first often end up losing their novelty and on going appeal.Much more to come soon.
Advice needed for Breitling Purchase....
Considering a Breitling Bentley 6.75 s/s Bronze Havana Dial - 48mm Ref. # A44362 with brown croc. strap.Purchase will be from a private dealer, watch is new with tags, boxes & papers. Msrp - $8440, can potentially buy for mid $5k's.Have seen the watch previously at an AD, the metallic bronze dial looks incredible and with the brown croc. strap offset with the white stitching, IMO, the watch is stunning.Never owned a Breitling before - any thing to be aware of with this particular model? how is the residual value, for what I can purchase it for is that a fair market price? I have a 71/2 wrist, so even though it is a 48mm fitment will not be an issue. I would sincerely welcome any thoughts, advise or guidance.Kind regards.
New Liquid Ocean
My first post so hello everyone. Joined this forum as I wanted to buy a Rolex as my first high end watch. But after looking around this Omega thread I was mightily impressed with the new Omegas especially the PO,s. Was on the verge of buying Rolex when I ventured into my local Omega AD and what did I see.. A brand new Liquid Ocean. They had been waiting one year for it and it only recently arrived. Nothing I have seen lately ( and I have seen pretty much everything up to my price point ) comes close to this. I am well happy as I thought they would all be gone..... Would post pics but my blackberry did not do the watch justice I,m afraid. to clarify. Managed to source a brand new PO Liquid Ocean 42mm LE for a great price too...
