Selling Watches The "Wired" Way
Wired magazine isn't the only good place for watch brands to advertise, but it definitely is a good placements - an no, they aren't paying me to say that. Filling up with more and more watch advertisements, the approach many brands have taken with their pages in this magazine for the socialized nerd, can provide important lessons on how to promote watches in this day and age.I've been reading Wired magazine for about a decade now. Not everything single issue, but it is one of the few magazine subscriptions that I have kept. To those not familiar with the magazine, it is an interesting publication. In a pre-Internet world it was a news and trend guide for the tech culture. After the Internet itself became the spot for breaking news, gossip, and breakthroughs, Wired turned into a something more literate. Like a non-fiction New Yorker for computer programmers. X33 expert needed
I recently sold a 2005 X33 box, papers, in almost LNIB condition. The buyer contacted me soon afterwards saying the AR on the outside of the crystal had been removed and he wanted a refund. My research seems to point to late model X33s having an upgrade to single AR due to durability issues, can anyone confirm?Discussions over this with the buyer have been very friendly and I will give him a refund if he is not happy, I am keen to find out so that when I re-advertise the watch I can describe it accurately. Many thanks.Dave

Fairly new Double Eagle Constellation two-tone? Just wondering.....I hear no chatter about this watch. What, was it a big DUDE from Omega?
Panerai 422
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a 422, but I am not an expert on this particular model. As a watch lover, a know a little bit about a lot of watches but I can certainly use some additional information on this one. It's a pre-owned example, in outstanding shape. It looks new. Both OEM straps are brand new and they have never been used, the previous owner used the watch on a custom strap. It has triple boxes, paperwork from AD dated 11-2012, the brown leather and black rubber strap, plus the tool. I've always had an itch for Panerai but I was never willing to spend big bucks on a watch with a Unitas movement. This one, being in house, ticks the right boxes. Plus I think it's gorgeous. It was pretty much love at first sight, even though it looks ridiculous on my puny wrist. Any advice or anything I should know about this? Reliability? Desirability? Will I get killed if I want to unload it down the road?Service costs?I believe the price is right, actually below anything I've seen on
