Bulgari introduced three new models in its iconic Bulgari Bulgari men’s watch collection at Baselworld 2013, including the line’s first chronograph and tourbillon timepieces. How much restoration?
A couple of years ago I inherited my dad's old watches. One was an '80s gold plated DeVille quartz, which he was never attached to (it was a retirement gift I think) that I'm inclined to get rid of - more in another post, one day. The other was a watch he kept after he left the RAF. After doing a little bit of research, I understand it to be a relatively rare 1953 MOD / RAF issue. It is complete, in that it contains the disc and spacer found inside the case, but it has seen better days. It works, and keeps pretty good time - but to my mind, the hands don't line up (with the minute hand at 12 o'clock, the hour hand is past the hour, if that makes sense?!). The (I assume) acrylic is fairly scratched, and there seems to be a lot of filth between it and the case. The dial seems fairly good - but it's difficult to tell really through the haze of light scratches to the glass.So, I'd like to get it restored, to some extent. (its going to be a long story...)made a last minute decision yesterday afternoon to get a set of matching Omega watches instead of jewllery as part of wedding present to ourselves (more like an excuse for me to get more watches....). the W2B is an Omega girl, and she would not wear anything else (almost)so went to a couple of shops yesterday evening and tried a gents Constallation, hated it. I was on a Daytona/Tudor discussion thread but can't find it again, so...I recently purchased a Tudor Tiger Prince Date. It is Mod 79270P. It has a leather deployment band and buckle. So I'm sure some of you have seem some posts or questions from me over the past few months or weeks about wanting the full on Rolex experience... going to NYC buying from a big AD and all.Well after making a few calls and checking stock around the city and getting feed back from some of you, I said screw it and made some calls to smaller local dealers and today at lunch I found a sub!So I skipped out of work a bit early and headed over and I am now a proud sub owner I have wanted a sub since I was 15 and now I can finally say I own one.I do have one question though, by the time I got home I realized I did not get the green warranty paper, I do have the card... do they still come with the paper that you sign or is that a older thing that doesn't get used any longer?Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
