Baselworld Best Watches: Top 11 For 2011
The end of Baselworld is like coming down off a really brutal high. The intense energy of the show is only matched by how busy you are. Nights are filled with long European style dinners that take forever, but go by quickly as the conversation is engaging. Watch lovers can be themselves - this is our week. And even though the show is that long, you can only manage to see a fraction of the exhibiting brands. New things come at you around each corner, and items you've only seen as computer renderings come to life. The best part is by far the people; the gossip, the laughs, and thankfully this year the optimism. More orders than last year seems to be a sober but enthusiastic claim made across the board. Advice for a Speedmaster
I'm about to enter the Omega line. I like Speedmaster. I can not yet think of a new one but I guess it must have been used in good condition.I like them with a leather bracelet. The quartz ones are more accurate than the automatic or is the same.Any recommendation? Thanks guys.
Where to buy a vintage Seamaster near NYC?
I like the vintage 1960s Omega Seamasters with domed (pie plate?) crystals.Anyone know where to get them in the NYC area? Do the trusted sellers on this site sell them?Of course, if anyone wants to post a picture of their vintage Omega, I have no objection.
Thinking about selling.
I always thinking to sell my 5980/1A because its always stay in the safe. But today I change my mind after I'm wearing it again. My watch is so cool :))ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360898171.231432.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1360898201.347405.jpg
DayDate at the Beach?
Yes, I know it's a Rolex and it can be worn anywhere and I typically keep it on no matter what I'm doing...Now that that's out of the way, I'll ask -Has anyone worn their gold DD or gold anything to the beach? Family vacation coming up and I've grown so used to this DD40 on my wrist I just don't feel like wearing my Sub or anything else.Anyone wear their DD to the beach? The older satin finished DD definitely held the scratches better than these polished cases. I'm obviously worried about scratching it up badly, but at the same time, a gold Sub or GMT would scratch just the same.Thoughts?Anyone have any pics of a DD40 with some war wounds?
