Introducing The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time (Live Pictures, Pricing)
The 1966 line from Girard-Perregaux is easily the purest from this manufacture of haute horlogerie. But, it might be the easiest to forget too, because GP has become known for not only waterproof sport watches like the Chrono Hawk, but also for truly cutting edge masterworks like the 2013 GPHG winning Constant Escapement LM. But while tri-axial tourbillons and triple bridges are fun to read about (and write about!), they are not what the average watch lover looks for in an everyday timepiece. For that, there is the 1966 collection, and today we're having a look at the gorgeous and elegant (and brand new!) dual time in rose gold. 2 OF 30 What makes the 1966 line so interesting to me is that is everything a fine watch should be, but always with a dose of real world wearability. They are all perfectly sized, like this one at 40 mm, with traditional aesthetics and super fine finishing. But, most of them are self-winding, and feature complications you can actually use, lik
Hands-On: With The Bremont ALT1-WT World Timer (Live Photos, Availability, & Pricing)
Bremont makes some really tough, very werable, everyday pieces.? The watches are incredibly well built, and as Ben told you in the FT a few months back, all of them will soon be built in a state of the art Bremont facility not in the Vallee de Joux, but in the United Kingdom.? This new watch combines the funcationality of a chronograph with an easy to use world-time function and UTC hand.? It is also nice to see the dial on this world-timer take a step up when compared to the less expensive Solo models and classic Martin-Baker line.? As is becoming the norm for Bremont, this watch is the commercial version of a watch originally produced for a military unit, in this case the C-17 Globemaster. 2 OF 2 Inside the outstanding Bremont Trip-Tick case is a modified ETA movement that Bre

Eyes on the stars
Well, sort of.
Please confirm -- strap interchangeability on the older Aquanaut 5167
hi guys,I've seen a post here that started with discussion why some Aquanaut had Swiss made at bottom of dial and some had not.See pic's form members here, to ilustrateIt turned out that apparently newer version of Aquanaut had the SM, besides other differences. One of that difference is the matter of this question -- is it confirmed that older versions of Aquanaut 5167 ( NO SM ) cannot interchange rubber with SS bracelet and vice-versa?best
