APSC for water testing / 3rd year warranty
Morning, I am planning on sending my new to me, pre-loved Diver into Clearwater in the next month or two to have the watch water tested, thus adding an additional year to my warranty. My question is should I have a light polish done at this time. Watch is basicly mint, have to really study it to see any signs of wear. If a light polish is recommended, any idea of cost. Thank you all in advance.
26470red/black for 116618lb ???
Simple dilemma.....looking to jazz things up a little. Would you trade the new 42 ROO 26470 for a Rolex YG sub with the blue sunburst dial ? I would have to throw in a little $$$ but nothing major. I have the gold version of the 26470 and would keep that piece. Also have the James Cameron DSSD deep blue for the SS daily driver. Any other suggestions ? May consider a smurf as well.....TIA !
Parts and Service for Panerai
Apparently Richemont in the US has now adopted a policy where they refuse to sell parts of all the watches in their stable to anyone who is not associated with Richemont. I have been told the same kind of Policy has been adopted by Rolex and others. That makes things very difficult for those who don't have a descent AD associated with Richemont. Richemont in Ft Worth is no longer returning calls about service of their brands. While they own IWC, there are still IWC centers where service can be had descently for watches out of warranty, like Superior Watch Service in New York. However Panerai is not one that I can find any reliable service for. Possibly in the future I will just have to avoid purchase of any of the brands owned by Richemont and possibly divest myself of my Panerai's.
One more poll for you all to ponder over
Now ignoring the obvious price difference of these two wonderful timepieces which one would you pick.Personally I'd like to add them both to my collection, But taking into account the demand for the Hulk plus others talking of increasing costs not to mention the waiting time to get hold of one it's seems more likely the one to choose.I'm currently on the waiting list for the Hulk which is around 2 years in the UK...Whereas there is only around a 3 month wait for the other. What are your thoughts 😕
