Roger Smith Watches
At the end of July, I had the special pleasure of spending a couple hours with Roger Smith as he swooped into Los Angeles to deliver the commissioned and bespoke Big Date Tourbillon that had been four years in the making.I have a special interest in independent watchmakers and Roger Smith, who hails from England and still lives thereCthe Isle of Man, to be specificChappens to be one of whom I'm particularly fond. Omega Constellation ref 168008Recently I came across an Omega Constellation model reference 168008 that was sold, on the popular auction market. The seller claimed, it is a rare Constellation vintage-watch.The description of the 1960's watch: Model reference 168008 with movement caliber 564: 18k solid yellow gold case (main case, back-cover and winding-crown), 18k solid white gold bezel and 18k solid white gold hands and also, the hour markers, Omega logo and star, as well as, Omega signature are all in 18k solid white gold, while the dial is in yellow gold color - no mention whether solid gold or otherwise. Is this a genuine and rare Constellation or it is a franken? Thank-you.

A laugh today...
I was talking with a colleague at work and complimented him on a bright new rubber strap on his smart watch (cause most wrists are naked). He complained that it cost him a hundred bucks because the original broke. I said, Well that's less than this one! and flashed my BLNR. He replied, You should have seen my ex-girlfriend's watch. Her family are jewelers and she has a seven THOUSAND dollar ROLEX! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
