Watch Magazines For Your Away From Computer Reading Pleasure
If you are into watches, then you spend a good deal of time online reading about, looking at, or shopping for watches. But you can supplement this time by looking at watch magazines. Yes, there are actually a good number of them. In fact, as watch enthusiasm draws some of the most artistic, mechanical, and style conscious fans, there is bound to be a good deal of well written print content on watches.Watch magazines are a good deal like car magazines in that each has a particular appeal while trying to remain general as well. Some are more "technically driven," discussing watch movements and innovations at length, while other magazines are more "style" or "lifestyle" focused. These latter options may appeal more to the casual watch enthusiast, and will most certainly include a few articles on other interests such as fine liquor and wine, cars, or travel. Technical watch magazines can easily bore readers by going into great detail with gear diagrams and the benefits of new techniques of
Affordable Vintage: 60's Vulcain Diver
There are many reasons to buy or collect vintage watches. Perhaps you are looking for an investment, an object that will appreciate in value over time. In that case, you are most likely looking for rare, expensive and well-kept examples from well-known brands, such as Rolex or Omega. Another reason might be purely aesthetic. The scratched up, faded patina of a well-worn watch has a distinct appeal, one that is certainly fashionable right now. Yet another reason might simply be options. As you look through watches from decades past you will find a gigantic pool of designs that might interest you much more than what is currently available. Furthermore, as I mentioned in my 40mm and under guide, the standard diameter of a watch used to be in the mid 30's, not low 40's, which can be much more appealing to certain people. For us at w&w, what makes vintage watches so appealing is the vast amount of options, and the fact that unless you are pursuing something well known and rare, you might
Autodromo Prototipo Brian Redman LE Gallery
Just about a month ago, we announced the release of the Autdromo Prototipo Brian Redman LE; you can check that out here. Well, in the last couple of weeks I've had the chance to spend some time with both the steel and gold plated models, and boy can I tell you, they're nice. Now, we've actually talked about the Prototipos many times before, which includes an in-depth review of them, so I'm not going to go through them again. Rather, today I'm just going to share with you a gallery of pictures I took. But rest assure, my thoughts haven't changed since the review though these new models do offer a slightly different twist on the theme. The build and finish quality is the same, they exude 70's style and simply a joy to wear. The biggest difference is the addition of gold plating for 100 of the 500 watches. I was surprised by how much I liked it. I'm not a gold guy, and have never been drawn to gold sport watches, but it worked. The gold was less blingy than expected, with almost a champagn
That escalated quickly..
Hi guys! After being an enthousiast for a while, this weekend the moment I became a watch owner was finally there! Having had no previous luxiourious watch, You could say I went from zero to a hundred acquiring this ap 15400 as a first watch. But It is the watch that instantly captured my imagination 2 years ago, and has never left since. Literally a dream coming true! Shoutout to my homie Arjan93 for helping me get a very good deal! For now I remain in the new watch honeymoon phase! Cheers
Panerai service other than AD
I have a 359 inbound and I want to get it polished/serviced (it's an M serial). Are there any good Panerai watchmakers in the Northeast that can do a service/polish at a reasonable price? I have heard some horror stories from some who have sent off to the AD service ctr and just want to keep my options open. Thanks!
