Pre-sale polish???
TRF members,I wanted to know everyone's take on this one....I am gearing up to sell my breitling chronometre, in order to start getting serious about a gmtiic.I am debating whether I should get the clasp polished first or sell it as is?Personally, I would rather buy a watch with scratches than one that has been polished by someone else... All manufacture servicing excluded of course. What do you think?
Yet another 5711 quandary
So I was offered a 5711 about a year ago from my 'go to' AD. I think I have paid for multiple Ivy League university degrees for his kids. I have worn it less than 20 days. I know how hot they are and I do like it I just never wear it. Not looking to sell it, well not really. I have a 5726 strap and 5712 and a 5711P. Those first two seem to get my Nautilus wrist time, the P is in hibernation. All four are dark dials. I have a chance as a reward (nice to have 14 Patek) to pick up a 5711 white dial. I am seriously considering it. Nautilus are hot right now and I have no fear of the bottom falling out of them. I have yet to see a white in person. I have a few days until it arrives. If they ever stop the 5711 production, the the white started the end of 2012 they will be far fewer. Maybe a good thing. For those who have the white dial, do any of you also have the blue? If so, what gets worn more? The 5711 is still an inexpensive (relative term) watch. I see no reason not to have it. I s
40mm Polar Explorer 10 year Service or Not??? Need advice......
Hi Guys!!! Just got a text back from AD saying the service starts at $700 and takes around 6 weeks. The thing is the watch is keeping time perfect, 1s in 64 hr as per right now, that's great IMO.....I got the watch 20/Feb/2008..........So the question is do I service the watch or not????I'm considering not, maybe have to send it....I've heard you have to service it while it works good and keeps time. Any suggestions????Here a Pic:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Found a new sticker 2-1/2 years later
I found a new sticker today and it made me laugh. I thought I got them all and cleaned the watch pretty good a couple of times and would have caught it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DJ41 vs Sky-Dweller
Internal components and functions aside, is the major difference the dials of the DJ41 and Sky-Dweller, which look fairly identical except the middle 24 hour circle?
