Grand Seiko SBGR097 Ltd Ed Watch In 42mm-Wide Case
The default size today for Grand Seiko's more classic timepieces is somewhere between 38mm and 40mm wide in diameter. That isn't a bad size in general, but for some looking to wear the pieces more casually and with short sleeves, these sizes can be too small. Seiko is one of those brands that both listens to consumers and also makes their own decisions about product development, so it makes sense that 42mm-wide classically-designed Grand Seiko "dress" watches are now available in these larger diameters. The 42mm-wide Grand Seiko SBGR family was officially debuted at Baselworld 2015, but now Seiko releases a new limited edition model with the Grand Seiko SBGR097 that comes with a repeating "GS" logo blue dial. The Grand Seiko SBGR097 is technically part of the brand's ongoing "55th anniversary of Grand Seiko" which became part of the Seiko universe in 1960. Current Speedmaster Price in UK?
There was a lot of press after Brexit and the ensuing devaluation of the GBP that some watches were much cheaper in the UK. My wife will be there on business and I was wondering if this was still true. Are prices still lower in the UK? How much for a new Speedy Pro in the UK?
Explorer 11 cream dial / Submariner buying advice
HiThis is my first post. I'm looking for a couple of pointers from all you knowledgable folks.I have a cream dial Explorer 11 (pic below) that I have had from new and just hammered (I can't even begin to tell you what it's been through!). Anyhow I plan on making it my weekend watch as to be honest I need a darker dial because I can't actually see it clearly in lower light. I have a friend who had a similar watch and when he sent it for servicing to Rolex, they replaced the dial contrary to his wishes. Is this something anyone else has ever encountered? So, to the second part of my post; I'm looking to get a no date steel sub but here in the UK the waiting list is 2yrs as of today. Is it worth getting in on a good but expensive preowned one or waiting my turn for a new one. I do realise this latter point is subjective but just wanting to garner some general thoughts. Thanks in advance for your helpRaf
