1990s Eterna Two-Tone 200m Diver Watch Available
It is only recently that Eterna has returned to the US market. For a long time, the lauded watch maker just sort of ignored US shores with its branded products. That isn't true with the watches that it makes for Porsche Design though. In 2008, Eterna returned to the US market with a couple of beautiful KonTiki line watches, and I can't wait to get one myself. You should be aware that for years, Eterna has been offering really good watches in Europe, with very few trickling over into the States. The pictured watch is a good example. I am not certain what the watch is called, but it is a thorough two-tone Eterna diving watch. The "Eterna-matic" moniker refers to the fact that it has an automatic mechanical movement as most every Eterna watch does. Inside this watch is the very competent ETA 2892-2 movement with a gold plated (maybe solid gold) rotor. The crown is also signed and done in gold.Click below to keep reading Best MatchItems Ending FirstNewly-Listed Items FirstPrice + Shipping:
Something different to end the year
The limited edition JFK commemorative, 18ct YG, manual wind cal. 2006:Photos do not do this one justice - at least mine don't. I'll have to get it up to Bill's (gaopa's) studio for some professional shots.Although I had some concerns about the size ( 25.39 x 31.50mm x 7mm ), it wears nicely. At only 32gm, it is hardly noticeable on the wrist but definitely has presence and will make good modern company for my 60-year old Omega bumper and Rolex bubble back. What a way to end the year!Fr. Patek Decisions
I wanted to get some feedback this time. Last year a picked up a 5164, a 5712G, and a 5980R on leather. I ended up trading them all before the end of the year. This year I added back a 5711r, a 5980-1ar and a 5712. I just traded the all rose 5980 last week as I could not get it to fit me correctly. I tried everything as someone else has recently posted. I felt that the watch was too top heavy and uneven compared to the 5711r and the 5712, which fit me perfectly. That being said, I already miss the 5980 (yet again), but I am honestly not sure I can wear the watch. I have missed my 5164 since the day I traded it and am debating adding the 5164r, or again the 5980-1ar. I know I love the 5980, but I am not sure it is practical when I have the platona, RM11's x3, dato, and other chronos in my collection. So I am looking for advice, I don't want to hear: well it sounds like you have your mind made up, because I haven't and I could add both. Fiscally, I feel like adding both is also not a

WatchTime Article - Rolex Versus Patek
I was excited to see this on the cover of my latest Watchtime Magazine. IMHO, the two finest mechanical swiss watches in the world. It was extremely interesting. I don't want to ruin any of the article here, but was curious if any other TRFers read it and what do they think? Please feel free to post any article info you feel interesting
