Sarpaneva Korona K0 Wuoksi Watch
The avant garde dress watch that inspired a sport watch now inspires a dress watch. This new model from Finnish Sarpaneva is called the Korona K0 Wuoksi and is based on the brand's first dive watch called the?Korona K0 that we showed you hands-on here. While highly?evocative?of the brand's signature look, the piece feels pleasantly fresh (while familiar). When I discussed the Korona K0 "Ruler of Water" dive watch (linked to above), the first reader comment on the post was "it's just not a Sarpaneva without the?weirdo?moon face." Perhaps Stepan Sarpaneva agreed with him a bit because this new K0 Wuoksi is the original K0 with a new type of moon phase indicator (including a strange looking face) in place of the inner rotating diver bezel. It amazes me all the things Sarpaneva can do with merely modifying the date wheel disc on Soprod A10 automatic movements. Once again the Swiss A10 automatic gets its date wheel modified to being a moon phase indicator. By the way, the caseback of the watc
Ceramic bezel on 15710ST?
Anyone here done this or know where I can get the ceramic bezel of the 15707CE and wondering if it fit to the 15710ST.The reason why I want to do this. Because I found the satin finishing on the bezel of the 15710ST very easy to get scratches and I think it looks nice with ceramic
Dad's old Omegas - opinions
My father passed away in December. While going through his stuff we found these 2 older (70's I guess) Omega watches, both in rough shape, especially the Seamaster. The SeamasterI love watches, and I loved my father very much, and my question is are either one of these watches possibly worth refurbishing? I would think they would both take quite a bit of work. I assume the Seamaster is the most valuable of the two, but I'm not sure.I can get neither watch to run. They are both automatics and I have shaken them well and neither will start. I can wind the Seamaster but it still wont run. The other one is missing the crown.Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Panerai Service - Worst of Them All?
My Pam 356 (Daylight) is roughly 6 years old now. I had it serviced at 3 years, because it was losing time. I sent it in, and upon getting it back, it has a SEVERLY scratched bezel. I cried foul, especially given that they made NO mention of it during the servicing. We went back and forth, finally they agreed to replace the sapphire crystal for the cost of the part only. Gee, thanks. Just a hair under 3 years later, it’s losing over an hour a day. In what world is this acceptable? I sent it in, they recommended another full service. I wear this watch the least, preferring my IWC Porteguiser and Rolex BLNR over the 44mm monster. Have any of you had similar service experiences? At $700 a service, I’d expect a hell of a lot better and longer. My 20 year old Breitling does better.
Any 36501 experts please?
Hello everyone. Very difficult to find any information on this amazing piece. Any idea on production numbers? Secondary market pricing? Any come up at auction? Sought after and collectible or too specialised for most collectors?Any insights appreciated. Thanks.
