demagnitizing on a i-phone
hi there.my constellation automatic came back from the shop (after having the crown re attached to the watch) running real fast - almost 1 minute per hour.i laid the watch on my friends i-phone (in the compass mode) to see if the watch is magnitized.at first nothing happened but after about 15 seconds the compass turned 90 degrees.since then the watch is running perfectly!I only wanted to check the watch for magnitized but its seem to be that the i-phone fixed the problem.anybody seen this happen before?thanks.
How about an Aquanaut?
How about an Aquanaut 5167 A or a 5164 A for a OWG? How practical is this watch compared to a steel Rolex? Lifestyle consists of Office work/ construction sites, beach/pool, traveling, gym and other semi active activities. I don't think I beat my watches to the point of only a gshock could handle me but I don't baby them either. I just want a watch that has a low profile, rugged, efficient that I could use it all the time, no limitations. Note: I considered the 5711 but I've come to realize I prefer rubber. Thanks!
Hustling for Deals...
I read all the incoming posts but nobody every puts what they paid for the watch. Why is that? Don't say etiquette or it's in poor taste. It's the internet and here's goatsy, so please don't even bother. I'm seeing $7500 for a used explorer 2 on IG (when I bought mine BNIB for $6200 from a trusted seller)I'm seeing $8200 for a 2010 DJ2 when i can buy a BNIB DJ41 for $8400 today from a trusted seller. These prices are crazy and as the consumer it's up to us to take back the margins.Thoughts on that?
Best two watch combo...
Hi All,My current watch collection includes the LV-C and BLNR. I had been contemplating adding a 3rd which included the SD43, TT Sub-C (blue) or D-blue. I was able to see a D-blue in person and have ruled that out since due to the bulk of the watch (though it's an amazing piece and the dial is super cool). I saw the TT blue today and it's a fantastic watch. The blue dial is amazing, though I've never worn anything in yellow gold. My AD promised I'm next on the SD43 list, though it remains a mystery when they will get one in. The question to you all is of the 4 watches mentioned, which 2 would you keep? I don't routinely travel within different time zones, so the GMT is not a necessary functionality for me. I do love the bracelets and glide lock feature on the Submariners. The pros/cons list are pretty equally distributed among the options, so hoping you all can add some additional insight or things I may not have considered. Thanks in advance!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
