Grand Seiko Anniversary Limited Edition Comes to the U.S. Market
At Baselworld Seiko officially launched three limited edition Grand Seiko timepieces as a part of the brand’s 130th Anniversary Commemorative Collection. All three models house a newly developed mechanical hand-winding movement, and all three will come to the U.S., market, albeit in very small numbers. Find pricing and wallpaper inside. The design of this limited edition pays faithful homage to the now-collectible original Grand Seiko model from 1960.Until last year, Grand Seiko was available only in Japan and a very limited number of retail locations elsewhere, but now enthusiasts in over 20 major countries are discovering Seiko’s finest timepieces. The caliber in these timepieces, 9S64, is entirely new. Like the original 1960 model, it is a mechanical hand-winding movement with excellent timekeeping performance, and the new caliber uses the latest Seiko high technology. ROO Panda 26400 SS or RG Rubberclad 42
After owning a SS Diver 2x, a volcano, and 15400 3x, I wanted to give one of these a shot. I liked the volcano the most out of the above models but just too much orange in the end so off it went. This will be a pretty much a daily piece. I would be looking at the Rubber Clad with the newer style dial if that sways you one way or another. I know the 44's wear much larger than the 42's. Any thoughts or wrist shots would be greatly appreciated!
Date change at midnight - 26300st/Cal.2385
I would appreciate if those with ROCs and the 2385 movement could chime in here. I was watching the date change around midnight and noticed two things:- Around 30 minutes before midnight the datewheel had started turning slightly into the next date (perhaps by 1/5). By Midnight it had turned slightly more (around 1/3).- At 10 minutes past midnight it finally changed over to the next date in one quick flip, just like on a Rolex. Is this normal and within spec? My Rolexes flip over around 3-5 minutes past midnight and I was wondering if the same should be the case for APs. Looking forward to being schooled
Patek 5164 Aquanaut on Leather
Hello,Ended up putting the 5164 Aquanaut on a 21mm strap I had. It's not made to fit the factory deployment but already working on that and have two custom straps ordered to get the look with the factory deployment.Until then enjoy the pic, you don't seem many with leather. I really like it as it shows off a lot more of the great shape of the case! Sent from my STV100-2 using Tapatalk
