Genesis: German Men's Watches By A Woman
Genesis is not just a neat-sounding word that someone thought would make for a good watch brand name. It is rather the name of the brand's founder and designer - Christine Genesis. How convenient is that? To have a cool last name like that? Christine is a rare breed being a full-on watch maker and a female. I wouldn't make a big deal of that fact if it was more common. I, for one, applaud the idea of having more female headliners in the watch industry. Christine's brand begins with some attractive watches that combine a little of classic traditionalism, Bauhaus, and modern minimalism. I don't like all the pieces, but I think overall this a nice brand worth paying attention to.About 3-4 years old now, Genesis has roughly eight models in the collection - each coming in a few styles. I've posted images of my favorite pieces. Genesis uses Swiss mechanical movements which look to be a mix of ETA and Soprod calibres. Most are automatics but there are a few manually wound varieties. My AD called me to say he had something special for me...Now not going to lie; it wouldn't be the first Nautilus to come to my mind, but definitely grew on me. And love it! Plus I got a nice discount as well NEVER in my life would I think I'd ever purchase a two toned watch!!

This story is too comical not to tell.I bought a 5711 white from a Patek AD in April to celebrate my engagement. I open it (shipped from out of state thus lack of pre purchase inspection) to immediately find the dreaded misaligned 12 has marks. Sigh ....I consult with the highlander and ultimately decide in going to send it back to the AD. The AD takes care of it and sends it to HSWA on my behalf and has the watch back on my wrist in 3 weeks! Hooray!I literally started laughing after just catching this now, like some game you play at a dive bar for a dollar. Anyone spot the mistake on my 2nd dial? Come on Patek! Are you just (expletive) with me?!I don't want a refund because this watch has sentimental value. I'm lost for words haha I will say I don't hate them yet, in fact I still love Patek Can they hurry up and hire Bas so they can get their sh!t together??

Hey all, searched a lot, found lots of sellers but not an answer my question.I'm looking to pick up a nice thick leather strap for a 000, but I want it to be comfortable and soft. Classic, or Ammo straps peak my interest...What am I looking for? What can you recommend? Anyone have experience with what I'm seeking?Thanks in advance!
