Watches NEWS
Maybe not for me...
I took out my 15300 out of the bank today, I am going to Zurich tomorrow and was planning on leaving it to my AD to make the service, it's unworn but sitting in safes since 2009, made the oils dry up and it needs a service. But I have been looking at it and feeling it for one hour now, and can't explain why but I am a little underwhelmed, I thought it was perfect as my 3 PP are ultra thin, and my AP diver extra thick, to have something a little thicker, I don't know why but I am not impatient to be able to wear it, to be honest it's not that I don't like it, but can't say it does something to me.When I saw the Jumbo I really found it awesome, while the 15400 didn't touch me in the slightest.I think I won't do the service, will leave it untouched in the safe, and probably sell it to finance a piece later on that I really want, for now there is nothing on my radar, well there are watches I love, but way to expensive for'me at the moment.I need to see the Jumbo again, if I really love it a
Incoming--my sub and gmt needed man's best friend!
Well, a few months back, I had a thread for you guys to help me decide between the snoopy or Daytona. I was excited because my ad informed me he was getting one for me. Long story short, it didn't work out. I was disappointed because I was hoping to have the snoopy for my renewal of vows to my wonderful wife. She loves snoopy and I thought it would be a great choice to share in the experience. That same AD contacted me a few days ago and told me it was a sure thing this time and he didn't forget his promise to keep working on it. Well he was telling the truth and now the snoopy has joined the family. Sorry, but no wrist shots or stickers removed as I promised the wife I would wait and wear it on our celebration together in June.
5167 dial question
As you can guess, I'm considering this one. I read how the dial is chameleon like and shimmers, etc. Basically, a lot of praise of this dial.Well, I saw a 5164 yesterday as I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 5167; however, I didn't find the dial all that chameleon or shimmery. It seem very matte and muted to me.Case finish, amazing.Movement, amazing.Hand size, PERFECT.dial, ok.This is not mean to be a bash to the aquanaut, but more of a what am I missing here? You guys are smart guys. Was the lighting bad or something? Does it change with the light in the day? My LVc changes with a turn, I didn't experience that with the 5164. Maybe the dial has more going on with the 5164 complication that takes away from the dial simplicity and shimmer. Thoughts?
It's here, new Tudor Date-Day, 76200
It's beautiful, stainless steel, black dial, stick minute markers, cyclops date. The paper date is 10/2016. Dial says 'Prince Date-Day' no mention of oyster. The bracelet is both brushed and polished. Smooth polished bezel. Interesting that it came in from Hong Kong. A very elegant, yet sporty timepiece, eminently wearable.
Steel Daytona
Does anyone know what the actual waiting list size is for the steel Daytona ?
