Wyler GMT – The First Carbon Neutral Watch
Wyler Geneve touts its new GMT as the world’s first and only watch to be certified CarbonNeutral? by the CarbonNeutral? Company. The certification means that all production elements and stages have been analyzed and their carbon emissions calculated, including all energy used, all waste generated, and all transportation required to bring the watches to the company's headquarters. The resulting emissions are then offset through projects managed by the CarbonNeutral? Company. Wyler Geneve has also rendered all operations from its Geneva headquarters CarbonNeutral?.
Orient CDH00001B Explorer Review
It's sort of a general rule of thumb that mechanical complications increase the price of a watch. If you look at a brand's catalog, their chronographs, GMTs, perpetual calendars, etc (should they have them in the first place) cost more than simpler 3-hand models, and understandably so. As the name implies, complications increase the complexity of the movement, which, generally speaking, increases the amount of parts, labor and skill required to make the movement and thusly increases the cost. So, when you're perusing the internet or a local shop and you come across an automatic GMT with a power reserve and decentralized date by a reputable brand, you're likely looking at something that costs at least $1,000, more likely much more. Well, Orient once again defies pricing logic with their CDH00001B C Explorer, which costs $650 MSRP, or $455 with an Orient 30% discount code (try fall2012).So, what is the Orient Explorer? Well, on paper it's basically everything you'd want in a traveler's

Picked up a bnib 15450 silver today. Photos taken with stickers on as I am still deciding if the 37mm works with my wrist. Taken next to my yellow gold Sub and WG Daytona, there is not much difference in size between AP's 37mm and Rolex's 40mm cases.

Finally joined the club!!
What a strange afternoon that was!!Took the wife to Have a look at the Rolex ive been banging on about for the past few months. We went to a local AD and when we walked in we were treated by a band playing German music, a hotdog stand cooking bratwurst sausages!!I was offered a German beer and the wife had a large glass of Champaign! They were celebrating a 50th anniversary of the shop being open.I said I wasn't going to buy new and look for a good second hand one. But trying to find one in the right colour combination was difficult. I tried the black SS datejust 41 on and fell in love straight away!!So I got the wife drunk on Champaign and persuaded her into letting me buy it!!What a great day and experience the whole day was.The girl that served me was lovely and made the whole experience fantastic. Happy New year to everyone
