26470ST.OO.A104CR.01 on bracelet
I feel that I'm finally ready to get an AP - the ROO slate grey 26470ST.OO.A104CR.01. I wear down straps pretty quickly so I'm thinking of getting it with a bracelet. Does anyone here have it on a bracelet (a picture would be great)? I'd like to know if I should order it with a bracelet or get it with the leather strap.
I would like to see a Railmaster w/8500 movement . . . and date complication . . .
I love my 36.2mm Railmaster. Although I like the new Seamaster AT watches with Teak dial and 8500 movement, I think a 38.5mm Railmaster Date run by the 8500 would be fantastic.
New serial release date?
I don't recall when Panerai releases the new model year serials? This year is R serial and I assume next year is S, but couldn't remember if they release toward end of this year or beginning of next year? I'm looking to possibly pick up a BNIB 233 R serial (now comes with croc strap and production number down to 800 I think?). I assume 25% off is good for one with Euro papers? Also heard rumors that the 233 could go away and be replaced? Not sure if anyone has an update on that statement?Any advice/experience is greatly appreciated.Thanks.
My proven anti scam technique
When I buy a watch from another source than an AD, I have a very simple technique, tell the seller that we will go to an AD of the brand to have it authenticated, usually just after saying this it's the last you will hear of the scammer, disappears into thin air, happened twice already, for a Pam and a sub C, and in case the seller is ok, I do go to the AD, did it for my sub C, my 233, 82 and 28, even though the 82 was from a very reputed company, watches.de, since it's a shadow case Panerai, which means no box, no papers, no Amerigo Vespucci engraving, no edition number (for example G850/1500, but of course a serial number, didn't want to take any chances. Why take the slightest risk when a deal involves that kind of money? For the 82 and 217 (I bought both the same day but sold the 217, 47mm is way too big for me), I took a train from Paris to Frankfurt, the others I bought in Paris, Rolex authenticated the sub free of charge, same thing in Frankfurt for the Pam's, but for the 28 and
Odd Tudor Prince Dial
Hello All, I've never seen a linen dialed Tudor Prince date before, is this legitimate? Thanks
