Quartz vs. Automatic Omegas?
Hey there,I know this is a Rolex forum, but I happen to own more Omegas (2000's+) than Rolexes/Tudors at the moment... 5 Quartz, 1 Auto. What's with all the hate (or dislike, I should say) on quartz Omegas? I actually find them more convenient because you don't have to put them in a watch winder or wear them everyday.Speaking of which, how well do Quartz Omegas hold their value against Autos? I'm in the market for a new modern Seamaster but can't decide if the extra $$$ is worth it...Thanks in advance!

Me and my Oyster Perpetual Submariner started our symbiotic relationship back in 1974 in Hamilton Bermuda. I have had the watch on my for arm more of my life than I have not. A scary thought. Twice we spent a few anxious weeks apart whilst it was being serviced.As a professional hotel chef my working life, this watch has been in all kinds of things I'm sure no one ever planned for.
