The event is widely expected to produce the final details on the company’s long-awaited smartwatch, the Apple Watch. The timing of the announcement is most certainly not random: it takes place the day after Daylight Savings Time goes into effect, and it falls slightly more than a week before the start of the Baselworld watch fair in Switzerland, with the antennae of the watch cognoscenti fully attuned.? WatchTime has already done extensive reporting on the Apple Watch and its possible impact on the watch world in general. Here are some highlights from what Apple has revealed thus far:? Citizen Eco-Drive World Perpetual AT Watches
Citizen's featured mainstream new watch collection for 2010 is this Eco-Drive World Time Perpetual AT line of timepieces. Based on a newly developed movement, the collection comes in a large range of styles, in various price brackets. From sporty to sleek, there is a World Perpetual AT watch for everyone. They are based on the new H144 Eco-Drive quartz movement that has a lot more features that it might suggest at first glance. For me, this watch is about offering the functionality and feature set excepted in Citizen and other similar Japanese watches, but in a very classic, simple looking design. Took a trip to Yorkdale today to see the new Panerai boutique
Been 5 or so years since I've been to the mall and I only live about 1.5 miles away. Just nothing I really need there that I can't order off the Internet. However if I want to view watches in person. It's a trip to the mall Last time was when the Cartier boutique opened and I wanted to view the Santos 100 XL models. Quite nice, but sort of like the phase jumbo shrimp. XL was only 38 mm, but a walk around and to check out the rest of the mall I was waiting for the new LeCoultre boutique to open, but it was attached to a store which seemed to look down their noses at you if your not dressed a certain way I dress very casual to test reception. Sweat pants, black casual shirt and white sneakers Last time at the store. Salesclerk followed me around like I was going to do a smash and grab. Not a good morning, hello etc. Guess if they ignored me I would go away. So. No JLC look today Went back to the Cartier store. Looked around at a number of new models. Including the drive. Nice size.
