Pro-Hunter Military Single Red DeepSea Rolex Watch Available On James List
I am about to discuss modified Rolex watches more often. I have been fascinated by this concept for a while and it is about time I delved deeper into this world. There are really two major types of Rolex watch modifications. One is modifying new Rolex watches, while the other is modifying older or vintage Rolex watches (usually Submariners and Daytonas). This is the Pro-Hunter Military Single Red DeepSea. It is one of the former varieties of Rolex modders (there they secretly buy up new Rolex watches to do their mad scientist work on the watches). Pro-Hunter starts with a Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller, and ends up with this interesting result. What I like is that the watch is immediately noticeable as a Rolex, but has its share of little differences that give it that "pimp my Rolex" vibe. One thing that is interesting is that Rolex apparently hates these watches. I've been told that if you have a modified Rolex watch, never send it to Rolex for servicing (they might not exactly send it back
Magrette Taniwha Engraved Gold Inlaid Watch
Before you is the latest limited edition watch from New Zealand watch maker Magrette. This is the first look at the now available Magrette Taniwha watch. Hours of hand engraving has gone into the beautiful fully decorated case, which has been taken up a step with gold inlay decoration. It is a long process with many steps to yield the final result. I personally love the Magrette engraved watches. Not only does no other watch company offer watches like this, but the engravings are beautiful. The designs have characters and scenes, with emotions and the high skill of the engraver. If you aren't the type of person who is used to wearing "decorated" things, I suggest trying it out. There is a special feeling of worth you get from it. Living in an industrialized world, we are so devoid of things hand decorated, or even decorated at all. We are used to things being just good enough, or often not even good enough at all. Having some decorated object adorn our outfits is quite the exotic treat
15300 for everyday piece?
I've owned a blue 15300 for almost a year and have worn it sparingly. This beauty needs some wear! I have favored a few Rolex and IWC pieces for daily wear, but am thinking this should be put in the mix. If I was to knock it or scratch it, what's the worse that can happen? I'm not planning on wearing it like a g-shock, but am on the move constantly.
