Hamilton Below Zero Diver Watch: Art Deco Industrial Diving Instrument Design
Being an "entry level" nice watch from the Swatch Group, Hamilton has the budget to experiment a great deal with designs. The Hamilton logo itself is art deco in tone, and many vintage Hamilton watches exuded art deco design while the brand was still American owned. With the Below Zero Diver watch, I can see a direction that Hamilton may be going in.Omega (another Swatch Group brand) recently released its new De Ville line of watches, which are classically art deco in design. They are beautiful watches, but with the Below Zero Diver, you get to see art deco industrial in a sport watch. Hopefully we will see more of this trend coming out from under the Swatch Group's umbrella. The ornate detailing around the watch face is all part of the art deco theme. Talking Watches Veteran And KISS Drummer Eric Singer Joins Jury For The 2015 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve
It's that time of the year again. The jury of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve – the world's most important horological awards – has been announced. Not only do we retain the illustrious Mr. Clymer, Goldberger, Dufour, Bacs, and more, but we also pick up a few new additions. The most notable of the new jury members is actually a HODINKEE alum – KISS drummer Eric Singer. In case you missed it, Mr. Singer sat for an episode of Talking Watches back in 2014 and it's clear the industry took note. You can see the entire video above and read about his collection here. We look forward to seeing the pre-selected timepieces for the 2015 GPHG later this year. You may view the entire list right here.
42mm bracelet
I've seen several variations of the deployant on the 42mm bracelet. Can someone post a photo of the current version? Is it the one with the two balls on each side of the deployant? I've also seen one with just one ball on one side? Also, does the bracelet have micro adjustment or half links? From the photos I've seen it looks like it has neither?
Narrowing it down!
A few more pics for everybody as I figure out which RO I want for my first AP. I'm sure some of you will recognize the couch in the NYC boutique I also tried the blue Jumbo, but for some reason the dial didn't dazzle me like the 41mm. Decisions decisions
