Hublot MP-06 Watch For Senna
When a brand like Hublot?states that they've created their most complex watch to-date, it's worth our while to sit up and take notice. ?Of course, if you pair that development with a Brazilian icon of motorsports, well, then you know you're in for some visual flair as well. Technically it isn't their most complex watch, but perhaps it is from a case and construction standpoint. Hublot has been on quite a rampage as of late when it comes to design. ?The most recent example (prior to the watch we're discussing here, that is) is of course the 50-day power reserve MP-05. ?If you dial back into the archives a bit, you'll see that these design experiments started with the MP-01, where the first tonneau case showed up. ?Interesting side note on that case - ?it?was literally Hublot trying to see what an Hublot mixed with Richard Mille design would look like. But enough about history - let's move on to the newest model in the Masterpiece lineup. ?Hublot has had a long-standing relationship with
Building AP collection
I recently bought couple APs ROO (Volcano and FC 44 mm) and looking to add one more ROO. I like to build diverse collections from same brand. I decided to take to the forum and ask your advice. I am considering 3/4 different APs and not sure which one to pick (great problem to have).Couple things I want to share here about me:1. I DO LOVE BIG WATCHES (SIZE MATTERS)2. I own few gold watches (WG, RG and YG) already and they don't get much wrist time (I prefer my stealthy looking watches)3. my favorite watch from all the watches I have is Volcano (for fun orange color)4. Volcano sits more comfortably on my wrist than 44 mm Help me out, which one do you think fits better in my collection:1. 44mm RG2. Bumblebee3. RG Rubber Clad (with new dial)4. Panda on bracelet 5. your recommendationAttached pictures of the watches I tried last week, which one will look the best next to FC 44mm and Volcano?Thank you in advance
Omega Speedmaster possibly next purchase ?
I'm seriously considering making an Omega my next watch purchase and have been looking at a couple Speedmaster's I really like...... I am just wondering if anybody has any experience or opinion on these models..omegawatches/gents/sp...-date/32228000.omegawatches/gents/sp...ional/35725000I don't have an Omega AD near by so I would have to buy online or contact an AD for pricing. if anyone can recommend an online site or AD that would be good to deal with please let me know. Can you normally get a discount on an Omega ? All my other watches I managed to get a discount of between 20-30% and just wondering if its the case with Omega.Have a great weekend ! Dave
Black dial 5960/1A at my AD (UK), PM me if interested...
...just a heads up if anyone is looking, tempted myself but timing isn't great. No tyre kickers, if you're genuinely interested I can pass on the details, They are a great AD to deal with and they don't expect to receive another.John
Another great heirloom story
So my father surprised me yesterday. I had asked if he still had my Grandfathers Rolex as I wanted to see it and perhaps share photos with you other Rolex nerds. Well he finally found it and long story short it has passed down one more generation. I don't know anything about it aside from my Grandfather was gifted it after he finished building the main hospital in Valetta, Malta in the 1950's If any of you know what model it is and value please chime in. Also i would like to have the movement checked out. It does run, after a couple turns of the crown but if the moment isn't A ok i don't want to cause damage.
