Top 10 Space-Themed Watches
Be it space or spaceship, the watches below are some of the coolest modern watches which honor or make actual use of elements far from the Earth. Imaginative watchmakers use meteorite dials or design their cases and movements to look like spaceships. We love this stuff and as traditional as watchmaking is, these timepieces are directly inspired by science and science fiction. Oh, and we?aren't?including watches that track the motion of planets or the sky. Those are typically more related to calendar watches, and should be part of a distinct list.Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo-Soyuz Limited EditionAs a limited edition of 1,975 pieces,?Omega produced the limited edition Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo-Soyuz version of the Moonwatch in 2010. Celebrating the US + USSR space mission in the mid 1970s, this beautiful version of the Omega Speedmaster Professional has a meteorite face and subdials. Meteorite, of course, comes from space and is further extremely beautiful on watches
Royal Oak Everyday & Everywhere
Looking for some advice. I have read almost all the threads on how delicate and is this OK for everyday but am hoping to connect with those that really beat on the modern references. I have been wearing a modern GMTc everyday for about two years. From the Board Room to the Gentleman's club. Construction sites to weddings. Big meeting and large presentations to street hockey and alcohol fueled fist fights... it has served me well. I cannot get the thought of the silver 15400st out of my mind and am thinking of retiring my GMT or passing it along to a family member. Can the 15400 really handle my lifestyle?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Help! Case ref for mid-size seamaster.
Hi, I've got a mid size seamaster coming in that looks like it will need a new case back. Can any one give me the case reference for model number 2262.5000 ( mid sized back dial quartz). Thanks, Alan
Anyone have 5711 and 114270 (exp1 36mm) comparison shots????
Hi all,I think both 5711 and 114270 have 44mm lug to lug length (Please correct me if I'm wrong). I have a small wrist at 6.25 and 114270 fits perfectly on my wrist. I'm saving for 5711 (which will take a long time... but it's going to be my last SS watch, hopefully) and want to gauge on how it will fit on my wrist. If anyone have 5711 and 114270 comparison shots, please share your pics!Pics of 5711 on 6.25 wrist would also help. Thank you guys!
Questions on DateJust 178240 - 31mm
My wife is interested in the DateJust 178240 - 31mm with Rhodium dial. Retail in Canada is $7100 cad and got quoted $6200 cad. So about 13% off. Is that a good deal or can I try to get more discount.I found the same sales guy that sold me my Date Sub 12 yrs ago. My Sub retail at the time was about $6250 cad and bought for $5100 cad (about 18% off).Questions:1. Is $6200 a good price for the DateJust ?2. Is the 2235 movement current ?3. Any changes to DateJust soon ?4. Is April a good month to buy ?I don't know too much about DateJust. Sorry if questions seem a bit dumb.
