New Steel Rolex Submariner Watch For 2010
The long-awaited new steel version of the new generation of Rolex Submariner watches is here. The official name is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date. This is not a surprise release from the brand for 2010. However, the introduction of a standard green dial is something I didn't expect. Like clockwork, over the last few years Rolex has been updating their GMT Master II collection and then a white gold new Submariner. Last year, they released a new two-tone (steel and gold) Submariner watch with a blue or a black dial. It was only logical that this year would see the release of a new all steel Submariner, ref. 116610. This is most important because the steel versions are the most popular - given their position as having the lowest cost version of one of the most popular timepieces on the planet (if not the most popular luxury watch on the planet).The new watches have the same 40mm width, but a slightly different shape of case and a new "maxi dial." Finally made it into the AP club today, love the watch, the finish and use of ceramic is sublime!

A Mistake Corrected
Well, maybe not a mistake, but this sits and feels so much better than the coaxial 57 it replaced.Don't think I can add anything that hasn't already be said.This might also be the best watch box/presentation I've ever seen.

My First Panerai - Radiomir PAM210
I thought long and hard and did a lot of research before choosing this piece, which for me probably best represents Panarai's great history. I also much prefer the Radiomir case to the Luminor, even if it isn't as iconic today. It's a really comfortable watch to wear, fits me well for a 45mm, and I'm really enjoying the change of pace which a two hander offers. It's a 2009 model and I don't know much about its history, but it's in excellent shape and looks solid on my Timegrapher (+6 s/d, nice even lines), so very happy with this purchase. I did think about the more modern 610, but wanted a sandwich dial, and the ease of servicing (and better looks in my opinion) of the ETA/Unitas 6497 movement over the in-house version appealed to me. I also enjoy winding my watches so an eight day power reserve on the newer watch is actually a drawback for me!I've already bought a couple of (cheap) straps ... now considering at least one good quality hand made one.

How do i know if the bezel is ceramik or aluminium?
