MB&F HM4 Thunderbolt Watch Revealed
If you have ever wondered what a MB&F aviator watch might look like, then this is your answer. In fact, the actual dial of the brand spankin' new Horological Machine Number 4 (HM4) "Thunderbolt" watch is a done with a classic aviator style design. I love how MB&F presented this little homage to all those aviator classic with the MB&F twist, including the font used for the numerals and the hands. Like all Horological Machines before it, the point of the watch isn't primarily to tell time, but to celebrate being a machine, a machine that tells the time. Linde Werdelin SpidoLite Family Watches
This new rose gold version of the Linde Werdelin SpidoLiteis DYNA-AMITE! And this DLC version of the super skeletonized case watch is OUTTA-SIGHT! Really, they are pretty cool, and I think took an interesting design to a much more luxurious place. The Original SpidoLite SA watch I reviewed here was more a stealth wealth watch. Interesting, but not showy enough for some people's tastes. The new Linde Werdelin SpidoLite Family watches are a brag worthy line of limited edition watches of the likes I've never seen before. No other company than Linde Werdelin that I know of is so able to take a watch, make simple but effective changes to it, and make it look like something else altogether.For basic details about the watches like size, about the vintage automatic mechanical movements, and such info please check out some of my other articles about the watch. I want to focus on what is new. One area of improvement both of these watches exhibit is better contrast between the hands and the dial.

did breitling and heuer share movements for their auto chronographs?
i was looking through a couple of old playboys from 1969, and i came across two separate ads for breitling and heuer touting their brand-new automatic chronographs. both had the winding crown on the left side of the case. so i was wondering if maybe they shared the same valjoux or eta movement. i've read about the auto/chrono race of the late 60s - i know that zenith and seiko were both trying to beat each other to the punch. but i'm not familiar with either breitling or heuer's participation. can anyone enlighten me?
