Itay Noy DiaLOG Watch
For 2012 Israeli watch maker Itay Noy does it again with an interesting timepiece design that both intrigues and confuses a bit. It is called the DiaLOG watch and according to the brand offers more than one way of reading the time (it took me a little while to find just one of them). I have to say that in the scheme of busy and confusing dials, this is one of the most attractive ones out there! The case design of the DiaLOG is carried over from models such as the X-Ray from last year. The dial is what is new - as well as the crown. Itay Noy increased the size of the crown to better accommodate winding the manually-wound Swiss ETA Unitas 6498-1 mechanical movement. The movement offers the time with subsidiary seconds and should be visible through a sapphire crystal display?on the back of the watch. For the dial, Itay Noy designed a five layer design that has discs instead of hands and a series of colors and levels. There will actually be four distinct DiaLOG watch versions - each with a d
Tour of AP
I am going to be in Switzerland the week after next and might have a day sometime in the week near Le Brassus. Does AP offer any type of tour, has anyone taken it and is it worth doing? Is it necessary to get arranged for you by your AD?I am toying with the idea of trying to visit AP, Patek, and VC if they have some kind of tours available and if I can squeeze them in. Any insights will be much appreciated.
15300ST dial pictures please...
Hi,I decided to buy a 15300ST, but I'm not sure yet about the dial color. The black dial was my initial choice but I fear it might be too dark, also because it's matte. The silver/white dial was my least favorite dial because white is too dull imo, but after seeing some pictures in which the silver comes out a bit, I'm hesitating. In general I have the feeling that a white dial is more feminine? (sorry, certainly don't want to insult anybody but I have this impression). The blue dial is maybe the best 'compromise'. It seems a very dark blue, but not sure how it looks in different light conditions.A long story to ask you to post some picture of your 15300ST (or similar) with dials in real life light conditions, ie not the catologue or website picture of AP...I hope this will give me a good idea about how a specific dial will look on my wrist. Thanks in advance!!
Finally got to my first ever Omega and I have to say, I simply love it :-)
Thank you everyone on this forum, who has helped to influence my decisions. Back from deployment hence the absence from the site. After deciding to buy an Omega PO and doing some very quick research. I let my wife know what I wanted, she agreed. So then went on the hunt for an Ad who could make the deal sweeter. Found the AD and they made the deal sweet enough, however I missed the mail for the day. Being an impatient WIS, I then decided to take a drive and collect my new workhorse in person. I tried on the 45.5mm and it took up my whole wrist, so then decided to stick with the 42.5. Tried the orange bezel, but decided against it, then tried the orange markers with black bezel. Again it somehow just did not look right. So in the end being conservative stuck to black on white markers.Sized up perfectly. I always thought that my GMT IIc TT sat perfectly. But the PO sits in the flat on my wrist with minimal movement. A nice heft to it similar to a gold daytona. So here are some
Opinions , please, about Nautilus 3800/1A-001
Dear community, It's a question from a friend of mine, wanting to buy such a piece for his wife. What your opinions about that reference? Is it hard to move afterwards just in case his wife got not happy with it?best
