Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA Watches: Stratospheric Prices, Galactic Novelty
This watch is pure imagination on your wrist. It is over the top in so many ways, and I completely appreciate it. Something in me says that this watch belongs at Disneyland, only it is real, and the fantasy is not in what it represents (we have been to the moon), but what it alludes to, which is a future of space travel.Romain Jerome has been around for a while selling what are essentially high-end novelty watches. The first was a golf watch that allowed you to keep score on your watch. Whatever, I know. Then they scored big with the Titanic DNA watch line. Each watch had a modicum of metal recovered from the sunken Titanic ship, and the rest of the metal on the bezel was made to look like rusted/oxidized iron. The result was a line of historical fantasy watches that spurred many a rich imagination. Taking the same basic shape with some enhancements and differentiators, Romain Jerome is back at it with a new DNA collection, the Moon Dust line!Continue reading with more images below Bes
The Concord C1 EternalGravity watch is developed with scrupulous attention to detail in an unending quest for excellence
The Concord C1 EternalGravity watch is developed with scrupulous attention to detail in an unending quest for excellence. It employs the company's signature 48.5 mm case, sculptured in 18-carat white gold and characterized by extreme sturdiness. It embraces a spectacular dial, designed in a bold avant-garde style.
Introducing: The Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition
The navigation theme has been a pretty prominent one in Montblanc’s recent production – probably most visibly, in the watches named for the famous Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama – but this year Montblanc’s pretty much pulled out all the stops in making something that speaks both to the history of marine chronometers, as well as showcasing the artisanal side of watchmaking in the Montblanc portfolio as it exists at the Minerva movement manufacture (the counterpart to the somewhat larger scale production facility that Montblanc maintains in Le Locle). The Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition (with which Montblanc challenges Audemars Piguet for Brand That Gives The Longest Names To Its Watches) and the Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition Unique Piece (ditto) are triple time zone, world-time tourbillon pocket watches of really incredible beauty; the latter is paired with a pretty
UK AD Discount
Hi all,Do any of you (in the UK) have experience of a discount on Breitling at ADSome great looking watches, in my opinion, but struggle to pay Rolex prices at Breitling, given how much it will depreciate as soon as I leave the shop. I would also add, I am buying to keep, and wear, not flip. Thanks, in advance
1970 Speedmaster
Hello everyone,My father bought this watch in 1970. After 15 years of wearing it, he gave it to his brother, who lives in the US. After 18 years, my uncle gave it back to my father. My parents live in Spain, and the watch has been around my fathers wrist from 2003 till last night.Dingdong, doorbell rings.Long story short, my father gave me this very special watch. Needless to say, I'm the happy man! 9 years in the Spanish sun has done something special to this dial. It turned slightly brownish.
