Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph Watches For 2014
When a brand such as Baume & Mercier says they're digging into their archives for new watches, you can't be quite sure what you might see. As one of the seven oldest watch brands, they've got quite an assortment of inspiration to draw from. This latest batch of vintage-inspired pieces will expand the Clifton collection that we saw introduced earlier this year.Drawing from what's labeled as the "golden era" of the 1950s, these new automatic Clifton chronographs will be formally introduced at SIHH in January. Intrinsically, the three are mechanically the same - 43mm stainless steel case, ETA 7750 movement (decorated and visible through the case back), sapphire crystals, and a 50m WR rating, to mention some of the highlights. Kazimon Eintausend 1000m Diver Watch
I've liked the Kazimon Eintausend ever since I first noticed it a while back. With the tons of watches vying for my attention the classy German diver sat by idly waiting for me to notice it once again. Now, after revisiting the Eintausend watch again I am pleased to say that the design still pleases me greatly. What you have in a nutshell is a fashionably designed, well finished, functional diver watch with a good German character and reasonable price. You start with a steel case that is 44mm wide with a 22mm wide metal bracelet. The case has a nice almost satin finish with a good deal of angles mixed with curves and nice technical features. As a diver watch, the style of the dial reminds me a lot of aviator watches. I think the combined style is well done. LiquidMetal and a new AD
I've been out of the loop on watches for a couple months as work has been way busy and my spare-time has been spent on my other addiction: motorcycles.So I stopped by a local jeweler the other day to look at a pre-owned Sea-Dweller (not the Deepsea) I had seen on their website. As I walk in the door, I'm greeted by a complete surprise...the jeweler is now an Omega AD!!! I had a great conversation with the manager and he was excited to offer Omega. He said it was difficult to get the dealership since Omega is moving to the boutique model. He was even more excited to see someone walk in who was wearing an Omega. In any event, he was very well stocked with so many nice watches from the Seamasters to Speedmaster to AquaTerra's to a Skyfall...which I didn't pick up on right away that it was the new Bond watch (I know...I know...) All other aspects being equal, does the colour of the the bezel make a huge different to the value of, say, the GMT?

Got a call today that they have a no date sub in, which i had expressed in interest in, a couple of months or so ago, that 'd like to add one at some point, going to have a look tomorrow, but had said to myself no more this year unless its the sea dweller or daytona!!Will power isn't my strong point.
