Not long after the introduction of their latest ProTrek flagship, the PRW3000, Casio has announced a new entry-level model that also features the updated Triple Sensor V3 technology. The new Casio PRG270 expands over previous PRG models with the latest Triple Sensor system from Casio and comes in a wide range of colors. Offering improved accuracy and speed, the PRG270 offers an appealing go-anywhere package for those who can to do without atomic synchronized timekeeping.Like all ProTrek watches, the PRG270 is a rather large and hyper-masculine sports watch with a plastic resin case that measures 54.6 by 14.4mm and weighs in at a feathery 67g. Designed for avid outdoorsy types, the PRG270 offers a host of systems for quantifying the wilderness including: a digital compass; altimeter; barometer; and thermometer. HourTime Podcast Episode 3 - The Golden Hand
Episode three of the quickly evolving podcast how HourTime (starring myself and John Biggs) is now online. We discuss some winners of the watch industry version of the Oscars, the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve 2009. Winners included Richard Mille, Greubal Forsey, the Hublot Black Caviar $1 million watch, Audemars Piguet and A. Lange & Sohne. We also discuss the watch business - what groups own what brands, how well they are doing, and like that. Then, we say a few words about Panerai, and more about how accurate watch making was so protected and why - more fascinating military and historic talk, including how Swiss watches used to be junk, while the American watches were the best. More on that topic in the next show. We end by reminiscing about our first watches. This time we invite you to comment on HourTimeShowwatches-dealer, so listen to the show and then respond.Listen to HourTime episode 3 here.Download or stream directly here.
What the heck... USPS
I had an Omega Seamaster get lost in the mail in November and have filled out all kinds of paperwork to file the claim.I filed the claim and received a letter back Saturday that they are denying my claim based on a watch is a restricted or prohibited item and that I take on responibility myself if I still ship it. Can you belive that. We'll now more shipping with USPS. I tried to help them by shipping whenever I can and I get this Koolaid handed to me.Is a watch a prohibited item? I can not find any info under their site that says a watch is a prohibited item.
