Jerome Lambert is now the CEO of Montblanc. Do you recognize the name? If not you should. He was the former CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre. In his ten year run as CEO, he took the wonderful brand (that I am a customer of) from a brand that was only "known by those who know," to a front and center superstar. He took the best of the company (the incredible craftsmanship and technical acumen) and applied an aggressively youthful image, while introducing daring designs and even a partnership with Aston Martin. A big thank you to all people at Burberry in Amsterdam
I was delighted when I received an invitation for their Master Class watchmaking course in Amsterdam, guided by one of their highly skilled watchmakers. Earlier this year, during their event at the 24 hours of the Nrburgring, I already received a short course on watchmaking but this was going to be the full program.At the end of the day, we received an official certificate, signed by Burberry CEO Mr. Lambert and watchmaker Mr. van Graas.A big thank you to all people at Burberry in Amsterdam and of course special thanks to their watchmaker, Mr van Graas.

One must go.....but which one ?
I'm about to pull the trigger on a ROO 26470or and bring in a little gold. In order to do so I have to let go of either the AP Diver or Panda. Love them both for different reasons, but alas both cannot stay. Simply for perspective, the Deep Blue DSSD and a Panerai are also in the current stable and are both staying. Thoughts and opinions are welcome ! TIA

Breitling USA - Great service
A month ago I found my Breitling Colt Chronograph II dead in my watch locker. For those of you who don't know this watch is a Super Quartz movement. It's very accurate. I use this piece to set all my other watches. I found it dead when I went to set a watch. Anyway, I took it to the AD. I couldn't remeber when I bought it but I knew it wasn't that old. The AD checked with Breitling and sure enough it was 2 years and 4 weeks old. That's four weeks past the warranty. I was going to have the AD replace the battery, gaskets, preasure check it and be done. But the AD suggested I send it to Breitling USA. Saying that they could end up fixing the watch free because it was so close to the warranty. The AD sent it to them and it came back yesterday. Sure enough BUSA fixed it and did a full service, plus they polished and brushed the surfaces. The watch runs and looks great. I can't be happier.Great service like that is why I go with a particular company and in this case I am very happy. Good Jo
