Holition: Try on 3D Virtual Watches at Home
Holition is launching the second generation of their real-time 3D virtual reality application that lets you “try on” virtual watches at home using a computer with a web cam. With Holition, your computer monitor looks like a mirror in which you can see yourself with the watch on your wrist. As you move, your image and the virtual watch move with you in real time. You can view a demo video on the Holition web site. Holition is also available on dedicated consoles that can be placed in stores, allowing customers to try on watches the retailer does not have in stock. Holition allows shoppers to change the watch and even change aspects of the watch such as the dial color via an interactive touch-screen interface.Holition will be demonstrating their product at Baselworld. Here are some screen shots, but I recommend using the link above to view the video demonstration to get the full effect.
Cool Omega Sighting!
While working at the Port Columbus Airport today I recognized a fellow a couple people ahead of me in the TSA line. Then it dawned on me that it was the former head of NASA (sorry, can't remember his name). The TSA was really giving his luggage a going over so I had the time to ask him if he indeed was who I thought he was. He was nice enough to confirm my suspicions. But what actually caught me eye originally was his watch. I then asked and is that a Speedy you are wearing? He smiled and said it sure is. I responded how appropriate. I thanked him for his work and wished safe travels.dP

New models - How does it work and how do I get one?
I've been on a few lists here in the UK for a Batman for a while now. Now with Basel coming up and the potential for new models, I'm starting to fantasise about not having to wait until old ages before getting my hands on a SS sports watch.Being a fairly new Rolex fan, this is my first time being around for new models to drop. Would be interesting to hear a bit about how the process normally plays out and how I can put myself in the best position for getting one of the new models if they release something that I like. When and how during the fair does Rolex normally release new models? Are there any tips on how to snatch one if they do release something that I fancy? Should I jump on the phone to a few AD's or might there even be a chance to snatch one up in store around release day since there is potentially no waiting list?
Tudor 79220N
Just received my 79220N with full kit and it has exceeded my expectations. What a stunning watch. Build quality is superb and that gilt dial really pops.
