Inspired by Aviation: Introducing the Montblanc 1858 Collection
Montblanc recently launched a new collection called 1858, inspired by 1930s pilots’ watches from the brand’s archives. At launch, two models have been announced, the?1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition, in gold, and the?1858 Small Second Limited Edition, in steel.The first model is the 1858 Small Second Limited Edition comes in a 44-mm-diameter by 10.95-mm-thick stainless steel case and features a?large-diameter (37.2 mm) hand-wound movement reminiscent of those in pocketwatches from the same time period. The 17-jewel, 3-Hz (21,600 vph) caliber powers the watch and is visible through the sapphire caseback. 15202 owners, how do you keep them clean?
Wondering if any fellow Jumbo owners can share what you do to keep your watch sparkly new.I typically take my pieces with me in the shower on my wrist, use a little bit of soap, rinse thoroughly and wipe off with a microfiber towel. Done it for all the pieces I've owned through history.With the 15202, I'm thinking I need to find another way to clean it. Without a screw down crown, and low-ish water resistance, I'm reluctant to put it underneath running water (heck, even when I'm washing my hands I'm cautious to not get the watch near the stream of water.)

I really want a cool all precious metal Rolex. I have owned a 36mm Day Date in YG 20 years ago and sold it (mistake!). I tried on both the 228238 and the 116618 LN at my AD yesterday. Loved them both, but the Sub is definitely more sporty. This would not be a daily wearer. I would wear it for special occasions, out to dinner, maybe on vacation, etc. Thoughts? I'm a 49 year old professional BTW.
