Watch Insider Reviews the Longines Heritage Diver
In this article from my blog, Watch-Insider, I take a look at the Longines Heritage Diver watches, released last summer, which are re-issued versions of Longines watches for divers produced in the 1970s. Like the original models, these new Longines dive watches have a case diameter of 43 mm and some of the same distinctive dial details.Longines was always a supplier of reliable wristwatches for adventures in the sky, on earth and under water. In the 1950s, Longines supplied measuring instruments for the bathyscaphe Trieste, which set a diving record in 1953. In addition to technical equipment, Longines also produced robust and reliable watches intended for use by keen amateur divers to explore the underwater world. Two such models, dating from the 1970s, have been taken as inspiration for the Longines Heritage Diver.Available in two versions, one a three-hand and the other a chronograph, these new models boast a black, satin-finish dial that elegantly combines red highlights with detai

The Blue Dial......
is amazing. This 15400 is supposedly boutique only but my AD got one by mistake and I couldn't help myself. I went out for coffee and came home with a new watch.
Omega PO 8500 Keeping perfect time 3 years later
Just wanted to share a pic of 45.5 black/black PO. I didn't like the watch when I first bought it but have really grown to like a lot. The thing I love most about the watch is that after almost 3 years of wearing constantly and having to rewind it maybe 4-6 times, it literally keeps perfect time from the start. I can't even say it is a quarter or half second off because after all this time it is still within a 30 second window of the time on my cell phone. To me, it makes it all that more valuable just because I have never owned a watch that is that spot on. I really don't think I could rid of it even if offered a premium. I know Rolex gets all the love, but I hear people being totally happy with +1 or -2 a day and mine is considerably more accurate. Anyone else have the success out of their 8500 movement in any of the models?Just to note, I have an approx. 7ish wrist and I think this size wears fine on me if anyone is thinking about obtaining the bigger version for themselves.p
No Steel Sports Rolex in Vegas
I visited nearly all the Vegas ADs this week, and none of them had any subs, GMT, not to mention Sea Dweller, Sky Sweller, Daytona (of course). When I asked if they had one in the back safe they laughed at me. I told them this is no laughing matter...for them. None of us must have a Rolex watch, but they MUST sell these watches to make a living. Rolex have lost their mind.Below is a wrist shot of my GMT at Zion National Park. While hiking a steep pile of rocks with my kids I had a slight slip and heard a crunch as the bracelet scraped the rocks. Funny thing is there are already so many scratches over the 11 years I have been wearing this watch that I couldn't even tell which scratch was the new one!
