HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 62
Back from Baselworld 2011, we discuss some of the show highlights (and quirks). On list is the Harry Winston Opus Eleven (that John loves), and a few other watches such as the Porsche Design P'6520 Compass Heritage and new Omega Speedmaster pieces (that John needs to be school about).Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 62 here.
Jumbo has arrived!
After much enabling here, I finally pulled the trigger on a Jumbo. Initially, I called George at Govberg's to discuss another watch. He knew I was looking at the Jumbo and told me they just got one in on a trade. They initially sold the watch new earlier this year and it was in mint condition. It took me about 2 seconds to decide to find a way to make the deal. In the end, I traded some watches for it. It does suck losing $ on trades, but I just don't have the time or aptitude to deal with selling them myself. A true Grail for me.George also threw in an AP hat!
AP FC 44mm carbon wear and tear
I'll still wear it until the case is completely gone, if you heard crazy stories of AP carbon wear feel free to post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Problem with ROO 44mm novelty
So I noticed the crown was rough to turn during wind up after about 5 revolutions. The watch had sat for about a week and was this fully unwound. I stopped and hoped the watch would continue winding itself automatically on my wrist tonight, which It did. Just got home and decided to try again and found it was still rough. Not only that, but it won't change the date anymore. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
SEa Air Land Trio
Got a Sub for 2016 and a Daytona for 2017. Mulling between a GMTII pepsi or blue dial Sky Dweller for 2018 to conplete the SEAL trio. What do you guys think? The GMT seems to be the iconic sports watch. But am fascinated by the annual calendar complication of the SkyDwelller. The GMT would perfect the WG trio. The SkyD would perfect the blue dial trio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
