Trading 15400 two tone towards all rose gold
Any idea on how much I would have to pay in order to trade a year old 15400 two tone towards a brand new 15400 full rose gold?
Anyone else feel that the stem/crown is too flimsy?
I have an ss diver and 44 steel and both stems/crowns feel extremely flimsy and fragile when I pull them out to set the time... Almost like the stem is way too thin and the crown is barely attached to it. Anyone else feels the same way? Feels a bit too fragile to me... None of my other watches feel like this on the stem/crown.
New Watch, Planet Ocean (not yet, research phase)
My primary wearer is a SubC, I'm looking to add a watch that has a rubber strap, and after going through a bunch of brands (IWC, Panerai, Breitling), I think I've come to the conclusion that I want an Omega. The Planet Ocean is my leading contender and there are some decent deals out there. I'm torn between the 43.5 & 45.5 as well as chronograph/no chronograph. The watch won't be daily, maybe 1-2x a week, and used for beach/pool/vacation as well.I like these in no particular order:https://.omegawatches/watches...3232465101005/https://.omegawatches/watches...1532442101001/https://.omegawatches/watches...1533442101001/https://.omegawatches/watches...1532465101001/I think the first one listed is an older model and on the older 9300 movement? I've been doing as much reading as I can, but any Omega experts want to educate me or weigh in with an opinion, it would be much appreciated!Cheers!
Picked up a new LV (Hulk) today and it was EASY
Well boys, after wanting an LV (Hulk) for well over a year now, well before the Hulk craze started, I decided to start the process earlier this week. After reading all of the posts about the lack of supply, I suspected it would take months or even a year before I would find one at a local AD.So earlier this week I emailed five different AD's within 90 miles of my home and asked to be put on their waiting list. One AD emailed back that they had not had a Hulk in over a year, and that they've stop adding names to their list. However, the other four AD's all emailed that they added me to their list, and that they would see what they could do to get me one. They all sounded fairly confident. Then, a whopping three days later, one of the AD's emailed that they had just received one and that it was in the vault and waiting for me. I drove to the AD the next day (today) and picked it up.So, was I just incredibly lucky? Or is this a sign that the supply is quickly getting better? Oh, an
New Subs: Vulnerability to Scratches
I work in New York and walk a lot, take the subway, go to the bars and get drunk with my mates. One thing I'm wondering:How careful should I be with my new Sub? Rolex says the ceramic bezel is scratch resistant, and the crystal is scratch resistant. The band seems pretty rugged too. But for some reason I'm a bit apprehensive to be so carefree about how I wear it. Even as I'm typing this I feel like I sound like an idiot haha. Anyway... Do any of you feel the same way? Or is it safe to say I can just go about my day knowing I won't damage my watch by some incidental contact on something.
