The past few years have seen steady growth in the diameter of men's watches. In the 1950s, a dress watch was expected to be slim and small, the normal size being somewhere between 32 and 35mm wide. These days, anything less than 38mm is considered dainty, and even 50mm and beyond isn't unheard of.However, not everyone wants such a large watch, or for that matter, the bold styling that often accompanies it. Sapphire case back on Dual Time?
Hi everyone, I am thinking of maybe getting a Royal Oak, I really like the dual time, but there is one thing that stops me, I am a real sucker for see through case backs, especially the movement on the classic RO is beautiful, don't know if the dual time movement is so nice but if it is I would like to get one and put a sapphire case back, I know that a german company makes them for most rolex models, but don't know if it exists for the Ro dual time or if it is possible to get one from AP.Can anyone give me some info on this?Would be much appreciated.

Is there one? I can't handle the lousy Omega website...I'm looking for a mid-level moonphase COSC watch.

send watch to panerai for service or local?
So I'm in Chicago and wanted to get my Pam 392 serviced, there is a slight scuff on the bezel and the tiniest of chips on the crystal. Its been running just a tad slow since I got it and I just picked up another watch so figured I would get this serviced so its perfect. Question is should I send to Panerai? I heard they are pretty pricey and could take awhile. Or have a local watchmaker take a look (if I go this route he won't replace the crystal, would need to send it to panerai to get a authentic panerai crystal is what one guy said) also any recommendations for someone in Chicago to work on it?I'm thinking of selling it too so want it nice if I decide to go that route, is it even worth refinishing or selling as is? I'm the original owner and have the box and all paperwork so it should make it easier.

Does anyone have the DJ41 with slate dial and green Romans on jubilee bracelet?
