RGM Updates Website and Adds Trade-in Program
RGM Watches has redesigned its website, making additional information available and easier to find. The site is also integrating its content with popular social networking sites Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, allowing fans to receive updates instantly. The site’s navigation is now upgraded, making it more consistent and intuitive. RGM is also announcing a trade-in program, allowing customers to trade one or more watches toward the purchase of a new RGM. Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces
Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces and combines with the modern of the Speedmaster case look. It is an interesting drop-down list box. You also get the logo style vintage Omega red. The needle of the hours arrow blend well with the needle of the minutes dagger and the old style numerals. The tachometer bezel complements the Speedmaster character. The back of the watch probably has some etching on the theme of the Olympic Games. The size is probably about 42 mm wide and the watch will be steel. Inside of the watch is Omega co-axial 3888 calibre automatic movement - which is likely to certified chronometer. Functions more or less include a 12-hour chronograph and day date calendar. A very cool and functional design perfectly awaken our thoughts of Omega and the Olympic Games. Only thing they have left was the logo of Olympic rings as the counterweight on the chronograph seconds hand - but that he would have obstructed the dial too. Incoming, first non Rolex watch for me :)
Loving this 3570.50 that i got from a member of canwatchco, a Canadian watch forum. We dont have an omega boutique where i live and it was my first time seeing an Omega in person when it arrived today! I have to say i like it more than I thought i would...which is crazy because i liked it a lot in pictures. I really enjoy wearing the 116719 blro with all its heft and shine - but this speedmaster actually feels like love at first sight ;). Sad that i never gave this watch a chance until now.

Just heard from an Omega Boutique that the watch will be available in January for roughly $12,000. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Question of size
As I'm waiting for the 5712 to arrive I was wondering about size and weight. So if you own a SS Daytona and a 5712a are they basically the same size and weight? Do you have a comparison photo? Some have talked about the larger lugs but by looking at pictures they seem to be the same size. Although the 5712 doesn't appear to have traditional looking lugs. As far as my wrist is concerned I think it will fit fine.
