Nubeo Womens Jellyfish Watch
Please enjoy the original article below by established watch writer Meehna Goldsmith. From magazines to the freer writing form of the web, she is a knowledgeable watch junkie who knows high-end pieces.? She contributes to publications such as Robb Report, International Watch, Watch Journal and Pink Magazine. You can visit her on her website meehnagoldsmithwatches-dealer. I first wrote about the Jellyfish line from Nubeo here, with some hands-on images.I'm pretty picky when it comes to women's watches. Nine times out of ten, I prefer the men's models over the ladies, because ladies watches are usually men's watches dressed up in opulent drag and placed in a smaller case size. I also don't like a lot of jewels on my watches (in my watches is A-okay). When I saw the Nubeo line of women's timepieces, which includes some major sparklies, I had to backtrack immediately. I got a rush like I was a kid on a playground whisking down a slide. Wheee!!! I was in major covet mode and couldn't wait
Omega 2254.50.00 or Rolex Sub-Dweller? Helpppp!
Hi guys,I am in process of buying new watch and this time I wouldl like to have something different than I used to have before.I am in difficult situation, I would love to have Rolex SD, but I do like Omega Seamaster (2254.50.00) as well. I am torn, what to go for?Of course, there is cost associated, new Rolex SD would cost me about ?3600, new Omega Seamaster ?1090. I can pay the full price for Omega without a problem, with SD I would have to take optional finance (0%) over 3 years with 20% deposit, so it is not a bad deal at all. Also I quite like the new Deepsea. Still, we are talking about a lot of money. Please, help me, what to go for? I have read so many articles about both watches, comparisions, etc ..What I like about Rolex SD:- my ultimate brand- look- robustnes- prestige- rolex service- small price depreciationDislike:- priceWhat I like about Omega 2254.50- price- brand too- lookDislike:- people's experience with Omega service- it's not a Rolex- bigger depreciation in price th
Seamaster Workhorse.........
My Father bought a Seamaster in the early 60's and wore it for everything. He was an engineer, mechanic, garage tinkerer, and horsman.. After a couple decades of hard use, he gave it to me, and I put another couple of decades of hard use on it as my beater watch. It was the garage, yardwork, fool-around watch until I lost the stem several years back. This is how it looked about 6 months ago: I sent it off with instructions to just give the case, dial, and hands a good cleaning; and overhaul the movement as necessary. This is how it looks today:A new stem, crown, and cleaned up dial and hands:The fresh Omega crystal is a joy to look through:The case has been cleaned up, but no polishing or removal of the already well worn 14k Gold:A new Omega Calf Leather strap and gold buckle:The 560 movement was completely disassembled, worn parts replaced and fresh oil:(file photo)The date change started at about 10:30, and changed completely by 12:15:I think it's earned a rest, at least from heavy
5726 grey dial on bracelet or strap or 5167R
Hi all,I would just like to know your opinion and personal tastes between these 3 watches, don't hesitate to write the reasons why you prefer this one to these, etc.For me I think it's in the order of the choices, 1st on bracelet, 2nd on strap and 3rd the 5167R, I am contemplating the eventual purchase of one, many have suggested the 5167 as I already have a Nautilus, but if ever I do get one it will be the 5726, what is the most important, having very different pieces to have a 3-4 piece collection as diversified as possible, or getting the pieces you love the most, even if 2 of them are very close?Anyways I think I would get on strap even if I kinda prefer the bracelet version, but in this case the preference is not huge and it would be better IMO to have one Nautilus on strap and one on bracelet since I have a 5712. Especially I contacted ABP in Paris, they can make any strap by special order for a Nautilus, they have done it before so it's no problem, the only thing they need is to
If I buy a new submariner 114060 today from an official AD and sell it 4 years later..
Would I lose a lot? Just wanna have the option to cash out in case I need the money for stocks etcBackstory: I just put my name down in the list for the 114060 a while back. Just a bit worried that I might regret after a few years and get tired of it hahaMy usage would probably be on fridays and weekends only
