Funding A New Watch Brand With Kickstarter.com
So you wanna build a watch? It is a common dream of enterprising watch lovers to simply posit "I just want to start my own watch brand." It actually isn't as hard as you might think. There is a universe of services, companies, and resources to help you when starting from scratch. In fact, aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer contributing writer Paul Hubbard wrote a post on this very topic here. There you'll find information on actually making the watch, but more importantly is funding your project.Whether you are interested in starting a new brand or just building a one or two models, you'll need money upfront for the design and prototyping. Then you'll need more money for the industrialization and actual production. In between are costs for marketing, customer service, and a series of other little money-eaters.The potential pay-off is real. Omega seamaster value?? 22558000
Just curious everyone's opinion on what this watch is worth now a days? (Private sale/dealer trade)Omega seamaster 300m chrono 22 55 8000SS with electric blue wave dial and unpainted bezel.I have all boxes, cards, books, including original receipt.I purchased in 2002 from AD.The watch is not for sale...I'm just curious of its value. It's in extremely great shape and well taken care of.I originally purchased this model as it was very different from what most sea masters looked like and thought maybe it would gain more value later on.Thanks
Travel watch advice
Newbie to forum. Plastic surgeon and live in s florida. I do a lot of lecturing on weekends to docs and staff. I fly commercial usually in jeans and lecture in sport coat/pants/button down no tie. Usually wear white gold daytona on strap but bored with it. Prefer pateks and have 5167,5146 white gold, 5070 white gold, and 3700 and few other vintage non pateks. 5167 too casual - love with shorts or jeans. 5146 too formal and 3700 and 5070 pretty much occasional wear safe queens. Thinking of trading daytona towards 5712 (white gold or steel) or maybe 5711 steel? Advice please? What goes with jeans as well as sport coat/slacks for lecturing? Thank you all for advice
5065A price in Europe?
Hi,does anyone know the MSRP for the 5065A in Europe, also are they still available new at AD? I know there is the replacement 5167A-001, but seems like a big price difference according to the PP price list in USthanks,
Trip to the AD Today
Went to my local AD today to see the Blusey in person. Unfortunately they just sold it a couple days earlier but I was presently surprised at how much inventory they had. Submariner with and without date, black GMT, Air-King. They'd just gotten in a steel Daytona but that was long gone, as well as a Sea-Dweller.As usual I went to see one watch and was blown away by another. The TT Daytona and the DSSD were amazing in person. Here's some pics!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
