My Tissot Sea-Touch Watch Article On AskMen.com
This is not the first time I have discussed the new Tissot Sea-Touch watch based on the popular T-Touch line, but it is my AskMenwatches-dealer article on it. The watch is pretty cool - especially if you are a diver. You can read a bit more detail here (that also links to another article of mine). I get pretty prolific when it comes to these T-Touch watches. They are just so fun to play with. The Sea-Touch takes all the touch screen glory and adds some diving only functions that probably work really well, though I don't know when I will have the opportunity to test them out. While it will be available in other colors, here you got to go for orange!Read my Tissot Sea-Touch watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here. Speedy Pro Question
Hi Folks, proud owner of a 20th Anniversary Apollo 11 Speedy. 861 Movement. My question is, how many times should I be winding it to get it fully wound? It quit working so sent it off to Omega for service, my dealer said to wind it 40 times and it would be fully wound. I did this and the watch only ran a short time. Sent it back to Omega, they put it in quality control. The watch came back again....they said nothing was wrong with it. This time I can wind it with 200 turns of the crown and the watch will not run 24 hours before quitting. In addition, I can wind this watch 200 turns of the crown and there is no stop , as in the crown indicating the watch is fully wound. Before the watch was ever serviced I did get a stop on the crown.I did call Omega yesterday, they said something was not right and to send it back, yes. Again. What if anything am I doing wrong? Please help. Regards Al
Time for a change
I will be in London this weekend and thinking of chopping in my 3919j for either a 5119g or 5167. Of course, I may go for something totally different. Can anybody recommend a fair and honest dealer?
Rolex Submariner 16610LV Fat (Flat) 4 Insert
So my 16610LV from 2004 F5****** serial came with a complete full set, but in 2008 it was serviced by Rolex and received a new 93250 bracelet (original one still in exceptional condition, not sure why it was replaced and allowed to be kept) AND a replacement green insert with a pointy 4.My question is this. Where would I get an original fat (flat) 4 insert back for the watch? I have been looking on eBay but nothing but the pointy 4 inserts.Cheers in advance.
Buying from AD in Japan
I managed to talk my brother into buying a Rolex to replace his speedmaster reduced and in the end he bought a 36mm DJ. He is very pleased with his Rolex and now looking to get a sub no date.He lives in Japan and he told me that ADs in Japan don't take waiting list for watches, is that true? I know that there are many resellers in Japan but what if you want to get an SS sports model from an AD? Do you just go there everyday and hope for the best?Any members in Japan can provide some thoughts? Thank you
