Best Of: Audemars Piguet Watch Museum
It is ironic (and sad), that literally a week or two after I visited the Audemars Piguet Watch Museum in Le Brassus, it was burglarized! Yup, flat out heist. The thieves scaled the sides of the building with a ladder, broke into a window and ran off across the border into France with some watches. I am not sure what they were able to run off with. The museum is designed such that the exhibits are each in highly secured "vault" style rooms. Meaning that if you break into one room, chances are that you aren't gonna get into other rooms. I wonder what they were able to get. Some of those items are likely pictured here. Audemars Piguet and European police are clearly after the thieves, but a job like this requires a highly sophisticated client who wants the items for themselves. Not like you can sell one of a kind stolen watches on the open market. Everyone is gonna know they aren't legitimately for sale. While I truly hope the stolen pieces are recovered, some might not, and images like th
Alternative strap for 26470ST.OO.A101CR.01
Hello everyone! I have been thinking about trying something new by changing the strap of my lovely 26470ST.OO.A101CR.01 for a while, but I don't really know which strap to buy or where to buy. So I'm asking the awesome people of this forum for help. I'm thinking about something that makes the watch a little bit less sporty. But, any suggestions is appreciated!!! Thank you in advance and I attached a couple of wristshots (which don't do the watch much justice) for reference.
Is this a really rare bezel?
Hello, I had this for some time now. I looked online and see very similar ones that are extremely rare. The bezel has a greyish color to it. Any help is appreciated.
Planet Ocean 2500
I tried a Planet Ocean 2500 at a Omega boutique store, and I nearly took this one home today. Cooler heads prevailed, as I need to make sure it's what I really want. The model I tried was the non orange model with a waterproof leather strap. It was also the 41.5 mm model, which did fit me very well. The only thing stopping me from the newer 8500 model is the price and the thicker size... For those of you with a P0 2500, please post photos and contribute your thoughts to the this enabling threat, as I might head back to the Omega boutique store this week....
Different style finish on sea-dweller clasp
I noticed that the Sea-Dweller 116600 was made with two different styles of finish on the inside of the clasp.I know that the ones made in 2014 had the sandblasted' finish and later Rolex changed to the polished finish.Anybody knows when they changed, and why?
