How Quickly A Pickpocket Can Steal Your Watch
"One of the most common things I steal are watches" says renowned pickpocket Apollo Robbins. The famed master thief talks to New Yorker writer Adam Green in a new video and article discussing his honed craft. In the video Robbins demonstrates with incredible ease and agility how he is able to deftly remove a man's watch right off his wrist without suspicion.Seeing Robbins in action is actually as frightening as it is entertaining. The now Las Vegas-based performer and consultant is considered to be one of the world's foremost experts on the art of tricks and misdirection. Pickpocketing is as much about being fast as it is about understanding psychology and how to distract people. It makes you think your watch (and other items) are ripe for the picking.[youtube youtubewatches-dealer/watch?v=UyVFG1CCDco]That may be true in the abstract, but people like Robbins are incredibly rare. Seamaster Question -
Hello, all - New to the forum. Recently inherited this Seamaster and have been unable to find exact model/year without cracking it open. Any thoughts?
Only one yellow gold
I'm hoping to get some thoughts and opinions on this...My collection is full of stainless steel, titanium, platinum, and white gold. I don't have a single piece in yellow gold (or rose gold for that matter, although I don't think rose gold works well with my skin tone). I've caught the bug for something in YG. I don't think I'll end up having multiple watches in YG though. I'm thinking this would be something to fill a gap in the collection, and for when I want that occasional extra pop of yellow gold. I got very close to pulling the trigger on a 116718LN with the black dial. Right now, that's my front runner. Although I just inherited a 16753 (two tone GMT on jubilee), so I thought it might be overkill to have both of those. If you were to only have one yellow gold watch, what would it be?I'll go ahead and rule out a DD, since I have one in platinum, and I just don't think I want another. And, it doesn't necessarily have to be Rolex.Thoughts? Advice?
