Arnold & Son Royal TES Tourbillon With A Sapphire Twist
We have said this before and will say it again: the tourbillon, as visually arresting and technically challenging of a complication as it is, over the course of the last decade or so, has become more and more?widely available, with just about any and all higher-end brands?featuring it in their portfolios. The?Arnold & Son Royal TES Tourbillon manages to spice things up just enough to render?the "whirlwind" in watchmaking?more?refreshing and fascinating, all the?while?leaving this?over 2-century-old invention nearly perfectly intact. So how?does Arnold & Son's achievement justify this potentially controversial assertion? OCD over my AP
I recently added an AP ROO Diver to collection. I bought it pre-owned, and am really loving the watch. When I was admiring the watch the other day, I noticed that the 8 screws on the caseback are slighty marred. This was probably done when someone was trying to authenticate the watch, and probably didn't have the exact screwdriver. It is not that noticeable, and it is in the back of the watch. However after I noticed this it started bugging me. I enquired about getting the screws replaced, and I was quoted $25 a screw, and I would have to ship it out.My wife thinks I am getting a little OCD with the watch. What do you guys think. Would you get the screws replaced or leave it?
Hearing and feeling the movement??
I just bought a Speedmaster Racing Chrono with the 3330 movement and I can hear and feel the movement while the watch is on my wrist or if I shake it. It almost feels like a gyroscope inside the watch, is this normal??. The watch keeps good time but the sound is annoying and makes it sound cheap which is certainly wasn't.
Patek experts, help!
Any Patek experts out there. Got a question about the 2428...I see lots of dealers refer to it as the Calatrava style...Is it? Is it the only watch designed by Calatrava? Or am I completely confused? ANy help appreciated..!
