New to AP with a Diver and loving it! Thanks Seregin's in SF!
I have been going to Seregin's in San Francisco for over 8 years now and slowly been building up a small collection(I'll get a post of the collection up soon). I do not own an AP, but I have admired them for several years now. I got a call from Seregin's letting me know he had something special that I may be interested in, so I had to check it out. It turned out to be the AP Diver in SS. Pictures are nice, but in person this is even more of a beauty! As you all are already aware in person there is so much character and brilliance that really make this model stand out. I knew as soon as I saw it I had to have it. I've had it almost a week now and I'm loving every minute of it. No regrets and looking forward to expanding the collection in the AP direction. Thanks again to Seregin's and I highly recommend them if you are in the San Francisco area. Enjoy a couple of photos and thanks for all your posts and help to educate me with this fantastic collecting hobby! Here are some phot
Battle of the Divers
You guys have inspired me to make this thread taking a closer look at my last thread regarding FC. Another fun poll for you guys to choose and tell me why one over the other.Enjoy
From Polished to Brushed - Breitling?
Love the look of Breitlings online, but when you see them in person they have a lot of shine, and I prefer the brushed/satin finish. Is it possible to have the surface of the entire watch brushed including the bracelet and case. Do not see how it's possible to have the tiny details of the case brushed, but I do not have any experience with this.Anyone dealt with this before?Thank you!
Vintage Omega ploprof, in water
OK, so some of you might remember my small restoration of my Ploprof 600?I changed the seals, dial and hands myself, as well as gave it a thorough clean inside, had the date disc loose as it was sticking a bit, got that sorted. Now in Thailand, this beauty is once again in it's proper element. And final one of wifey. She didn't wear her SMP, only her dive computer.
Some insight please
Didnt want to hijack the 5726 vs 5711 thread but it is somewhat close to what I am considering for my next purchase. This will be my first foray into PP, having owned Rolex, AP, IWC and Tag. I have narrowed it down to the 5711 and 5167 (SS bracelet not the tropical), they both have the same movement, similar case diameter, differences of course the design, tapestry of the dial (love both as they are unique in their own nature), am I missing something else?If you were in the market for a sportier watch (which could be dressed up) which would you buy as your first. (Unfortunately the AD here does not have either watches except for the 5164 so have not really been able to compare side by side in person)Thanks in advance.
