My Timex Classic Camper Watch Article On AskMen.com
To be perfectly honest it is hard to write about a $35 watch after you have been writing about $35,000 watches. On the one hand, it is hard to be fair to the $35 watch, and on the other hand it is hard to make a case to the $35 watch market for a $35,000 watch that itself may just tell the time. In writing this review I needed to metaphorically step back a few paces and review the Timex Classic Camper as though it were in a vacuum. I actually like the watch for what it is - a dead simply, sort of retro themed, basic timepiece. No frills, nothing fancy, and easily disposable if need be. Cheap, not very big, and a watch. Exactly what you need many circumstances. See what I mean?See my Timex Classic Camper watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here. AP service cost/duration VS PP? - Random curiosity.
I know the AP service can set you back by 3K at times from what i've read on here (don't personally own one - yet), however I am curious if servicing an AP costs pretty much the same as servicing a PP.The 15202 vs the 5711 for example. Also, how about the duration. I know PP can take up to 5 months sometimes, is this also the case with AP?Finally. Has anyone ever had a full bezel replacement on his AP? Curious how much that would set you back. Thanks for the info guys.
Speedmaster Pro Moonphase (56k warning)
New to me anyway. I had been coveting a Moon watch since I sold my sapphire sandwich many lunar phases ago. Instead of getting the regular Pro, I decided to obtain something rarer than the 50th anniversary model, which I also really like. The extra sub-dial might seem too busy for some people, but I adore it. I also prefer the 3/10th hash marks as opposed to the busier and useless 5/10th found on the normal Pro.
Question for the experts....I need help idenifying this vintage Patek (pics included)
Hello everyone,I came across this vintage Patek Philippe watch and I cannot seem to find the model number engraved anywhere on the case, inside the caseback or the movement. I'm hoping someone here can help me identify this watch as well as any information about it. The number movement is 864505 and the number on the inside of the caseback is 632308.Thanks in advance. Here are the pics...
