5167a Underwhelming?
From Internet pics and posts I have always been a big fan of the aquanaut. I have considered trading my DD 118208 for a 5167a, but when I am about sold on the idea I read a lot of posts here that are very negative about the 5167a. I know this is a PP forum but I just wanted to get some thoughts about the watch and if you would trade a DD for a 5167a.
Patek rotor noise question....
Hello all here at TRF! I have a question for all the Patek owners out there. I recently purchased a Calatrava 5127 and absolutely love the piece. It keep amazing time (+1 second per day!) and looks great on the wrist. However, I've noticed that I hear the rotor quite a bit when my wrist moves. Obviously that's the winding mechanism in action....I'm just surprised how much I can hear it compared to my AP, Rolex, Lange and other automatic pieces. So my question to all of you is.....is this normal? I could take it in and have it looked at, but I'm guessing one of you experts here on TRF will be able to tell me if that is just a characteristic of PP, or something I need to be concerned about. Thanks in advance!
If your Panerai has polished hands...
...does it bother you if the polished hands are not perfect? Meaning they have some sort of flaw/imperfection on them. Either it be scratches or something else. Not like it's very noticeable, but at certain angles and with the right lighting, I can see that the hands on my 233 are slightly scratched. And I recently had it serviced... though I can't be positive that the hands were perfect before the service. Are your polished hands perfect? Is it too much to expect the hands to be perfect?I've noticed this issue too on other brands/watches, so it's probably more common than it should be.
