Roger Dubuis Hommage Minute Repeater Tourbillon Automatic Watch
In what I believe is its second year, the Roger Dubuis Hommage collection receives its most impressive piece to date, with the Roger Dubuis Hommage Minute Repeater Tourbillon Automatic watch, now close to the end of 2014. The original goal of the Hommage collection was to evoke the original designs that Roger Dubuis himself created for his eponymous brand back in the 1990s. Maitres du Temps Chapter One Round Watch
Even some of Maitres du Temps' dream team of designers didn't think this could be done. How do you take a watch like the Chapter One with its top and bottom mounted cylinders and make it round? The tonneau shaped version is large enough as it is. You might be able to make it square, but round? It just didn't make sense. Stillthey did it. Make the watch dial and central part of the case round, and extend the lug segments. Voila! Aside from the shape and style, the Chapter One Round watch has the same movement and functions as the standard Chapter One watch, which I wrote about initially here (more technical), and shared after a hands-on treatment here. Though the Chapter One Round is part of a more limited, limited edition of just 11 pieces, and more expensive than the standard Chapter One. I've been a Rolex owner for years and finally bought my first AP. I'm so excited and can't wait to get it. It will be here on Thurday. I bought the Royal Oak Off shore volcano.

I've been a member of these forums for a while now and have learned a lot through these forums. I currently have a few watches in my collection and wanted to get my wife a watch. She likes simple watches and after some research likes the Patek Philippe 4906. I know these are discontinued and my local AD obviously can't get them and my wife does not like any of the current models. My question is I can get one off ebay but without any box or papers and the quartz movement worries me a little. Do any of you guys have any suggestions on how to go about getting this watch and also about the battery movement?Thank you again for all your help!

Rolex Vs. Panerai
I'm positive this subject has been covered before. However, in the interest of good fun and conversation, what is your take on the two? I've had a few very noteworthy sources tell me they don't think Panerai measures up to Rolex. That being said, there are waves of Panerai fans that seem to be everywhere, and many bleed into the Rolex world as well.So, how do YOU compare the two??
