Would you dive with your AP?
I took the plunge literally and took my ROO rose gold into the ocean. I don't go super deep, I think I was maxed out at 23 meters but still. Kind of amazing to me that these things function flawlessly in the sea. Going to dive again tomorrow and take a photo this time.
5960/1A Lug hole positioning
Does anyone know if the lugholes on the 5960/1A are positioned differently (Closer to the lug end) compared to its PM siblings?I am on the verge of trading towards a 5960/1A, but I'm not a fan of the bracelet and want to wear it on a strap - I just want to make sure the gap between the strap and case wont be significantly larges than on the PM models. If anyone has pics of the 5960/1A - please feel free to shareThanks for your input
Anyone intending to buy the new Blue faced bedazzled Submariner
I see there is a new sub in the offing that isn't that well publicised yet. Blue bezel similar to the white gold sub and encrusted in blue precious stones.Has it tickled anyone's fancy here ??It's not my cup of tea tbh
Date wheel question
I was winding/setting a DJ yesterday from stopped and do I want I usually do and set the hands to 6. In this case I wound back, can’t remember why but I did. The date reversed. At the 6 I decided to set the date first. As I proceeded I felt the gear in what I assume was a clutch position, it wasn’t engaged, I felt resistance. I stopped and wound forward, knowing I was at the 6am and date did not change. I carried on with the hands and it proceeded to click solidly at the 12am date change but only after an additional 24 hr revolution. All is good now, date wheel was changing as it should too. Question is, what happened originally, was it because I wound back and the date mechanism wasn’t fully engaged by winding back to 6am? Just curious to learn for the future.
New first Rolex Rolex explorer 16570 ii
Got my first Rolex! It's a an 16570 explorer ii! It's from 2003, but it has never been worn and brand new in box so it's perfect condition and got a really good price for it too!The day after I went over to Barcelona and took a few pics ( my girlfriend is looking unimpressed as I've payed more attention to the new watch then her haha!)Really like it and also thinking of buying a spare black dial so I can change it around in the future too if I want!
