PO 42mm vs 45mm Tip
Hey everybody. I just wanted to start a small thread about a problem that I recently encountered, which I overcame with some good advice. Hopefully in sharing this, the choice will be clearer for everybody else!I took a trip to a local Omega AD simply to look at the models in person and make my mind up about which one would look best on me. For reference, my wrist is just under 7 inches. When looking at the two side by side, something about the larger/crystal really appealed to me on the 45mm. However, the salesperson told me to walk over to the mirror, and look at both on my wrist in two ways - with short sleeves and with my shirt cuff over part of the watch (to see how it would look during summer and winder respectively). After doing this it couldn't have been more obvious that the 42mm looked better! I saw this and was certain beyond a doubt that 42mm was the right size for me. I am relieved to have that part of the decision cleared up. I recommend this technique to anyone

Strap maker rankings
I've been flipping PAM straps now for a couple of years & for now have pretty much settled on a stable collection of 7 or 8. I've tried a wide range but now gravitate toward finished edges & less beat up looking straps.After having ordered straps from a bunch of prominent strap makers, here is how I would rank them in general. Obviously a very subjective list & perhaps had I ordered a different strap from some of these I would have had a different impression. Daytona vs DD40 - Bezel Scratching
Wanted to get peoples opinions of how easily bezels scratch interms of the PM Daytona models with PM bezels (non ceramic) VS fluted bezels of DD40 PM.I am I wrong in assuming that scratches and wear show up less on the PM fluted bezel given its construction but rather easily on the PM Daytona?Finally, owners of PT DD40....scratches and wear show up easily? But, I know that with PT you don't actually lose any metal when it scratches...it may look bad....but the PT metal isn't lost...its just moved.Thanks!.
